T2 Bracer Reinforce Replaced?

Maybe I haven't been paying as much attention to Tyranny of Dragons when it was being previewed. I don't recall that the Profession tasks for reinforcing T2 bracers were being removed, or that the new armor reinforcement kit tasks were replacing them. I could be just blind, but I've checked my characters and can't find them at all.

The T2 bracer tasks were a nice bonus for levelling an armor profession to 20, as was intended when they were introduced between official launch and Module 1. They didn't cost much, just the longer crafting that raised their stats up to match the Fabled Iliyanbruen arms. It's a shame for that option to disappear, and from what I can see it wasn't announced--unless they were removed earlier and I just haven't noticed.

    Those are now gone? HAMSTER, was close to getting there so I could do that on my HR and CW.

    Yeah, they are no longer available. Maybe they appear only if you have some bracers to be reinforced, like weaponsmithing/artificing crafts.

    They are rare tasks, if memory serves. You just have to wait for them to pop up.

    They were regular level 20 tasks that were visible without need for the bracers (unless it was changed to an unlock) or a rare task.

    The Reinforced Bracer tasks are no longer available. They were always a stopgap and now that we have armor reinforcement kits they are no longer needed.

    As an added bonus I no longer have to get asked when are you going to make Reinforcement tasks for all the rest of the armor sets. :)

    But it's pretty unfair for the people who don't have access to those Bracers... They lose out on stats, whereas people who made them before get the best of both.

    Yup. If they can't be made now, old ones should be nerfed back to regular versions.

    I would guess that they think the old T2 sets will be surpassed by the newer gear sets with the overload slots , so slowly as more players take up the newer gear the old gear with reinforced bracers will be retired or salvaged and therefore sooner or later all removed from the game , I love my HV set but I am starting to love my Purified black ice set more and when I finally get hold of some of the new powerful sounding module four overload enchantments I'm not sure whether I'll even wear HV anymore , obviously that's my personal preference but I'd guess they are thinking along those lines too.

    Why should those of us who painstakingly leveled an armor crafting profession to 20, specifically to upgrade our little bracer piece for a few more stat points, be punished for your laziness in choosing not to?

    Sorry you missed out. Get on it quicker next time for the next tier.

    Mine are still reinforced. Even if they revert them it's no big deal as armor kits give me 100 points on every peice regarless of which ones I need to ballance my build. Besides the VT, MC, and BI could never be reinforced anyway....

    The reinforced bracers aren't much better than the regular bracers. So some players have this added 'advantage', some don't... there's barely any difference with these PVE sets... this isn't PVP, to cry nerf about every little thing someone else has better.

    I'm more concerned why the Dread Legion weapons in my collections show the SW ones don't have a set bonus.

    @graalx3 Thanks for letting us know. It was more that future characters wouldn't get the benefit of advancing their T2 armors as the already geared characters.
