Wherefore art thou, blue gear?

Since the update yesterday, I've twice run Dread Ring dailies on 4 different characters, and seen exactly one piece of unidentified blue gear over those 8 runs... and that single belt was from a lair chest, and not a kill.

While the spendy and stackable gemmed chalice 'treasure' items (or whatever they are) are a quick way to make some coin without eating up inventory slots or using up an ID scroll, the sudden and almost total lack of blue gear is a bit alarming... I know I rely on those blue drops to gear up my newly levelled characters, and I often pass on what I cannot use to friends.

So... has the blue gear drop rate really been reduced to nil? Or is it just me?

I saw a fair amount last night when I was playing but that was before the maintence this morning. I was doing nothing but running from area to area killing dragon but there were blue item drops ... most of which I sold so if they are getting more rare maybe I need to start putting more of them in AH lol

Ah, good to know. I haven't been anywhere but Dread Ring (hiding out there until the 'OMG NEW MOD!!!!!!11111ELEVENTY!!!!" excitement is over and other zones aren't packed elbow to elbow).

When leveling my SW...the first few lairs up through blacklake had very few usable gear drops...like maybe 4 total. And that is way way down. I think the new stackable "treasure" drop rate seems to be much too high. As someone said in the new areas with the dragons the wearable gear drops seemed to be more than usual which I found to be odd. I will have to see how it works tonight.

Gear is also going to be used to level up the new artifact equipment, weapons and belts, blue gives 300 rp or 600 if it's main hand to main hand or belt to belt. They may be hot items worth more AD or if you feel they are dropping less save some up.

It hardly ever drops now, I got only one in Sharandar and maybe couple in Neverdeath.

Hmm could have sworn they said blue gear would be dropping more not less.

What they say and what they do are two separate and distinguishable things.

This is the worst MMO I've ever played when it comes to HAMSTER up drop rates / RNG
    Where'd my blinky-blinky path go?
