I think many ppl will feel ripped off now, you forced ppl to get the new pack for a discount and now the price is the same like with the discount. So how do PW plan to compensate for that clear rippoff if not fraud they made?
False advertising? Misleading promotions? Shady deals? Not the first or last for Cryptic. Weird nothing has been done about it yet. There has to be lawyers playing this game too.

Umm, how is it a rip-off?
If they pre-sold it for $75 and were now selling it for $50, that would be a rip-off.
Sending in your money a week early hardly qualifies as a rip-off; you didn't lose any money, especially with the interest rate on most checking accounts (I think mine is .001% :P).
At BEST it is misleading (I didn't buy this anyway). Retail was advertised as $100 so the $25 off presale was worth it to some. Now Crytpric pulls a fast one and puts the retail at the sale price? If they still had credibility this would hurt them.
Add to this that those who did buy cannot even use the **** thing as promised? Priceless.
Actually, I did know one lawyer who played this game... Sadly, the last time I saw him online was one week prior to the mod3 launch. But Im am sure there are other lawyers that play.
Now, I am not a lawyer, but I doubt there is much you can do... Many stores offer coupons and discounts for products in their stores... They also say 25% off retail price; even if the item was never actually sold at the so-called retail price and/or it never will be sold at that price. There is little that is done about that and I doubt there is much that can be done about this.

Because the $75 was sale price. It is not a sale price if they don't intend to ever sell it at the full price. That is fraud to get people to spend money on a deal that doesn't exist. Either the ones who have bought it need to be compensated in some way or this is extremely shady. Some companies already have shady sales that are pretty much the regular price such as sofa sales over here, however they still have to list it at full price at times for legal reasons.
If you look at the price on Steam it is $75 with no mention of it being a limited time offer, so we can assume that $75 is the permanent price from now on.

I definitely fell like I was duped into the pre-purchase. Not Cool Guys.
This change of heart probably had a LOT to do with the MANY complaints about the price in relation to the goods received. There was a bit of heated discussion about it on these forums when it was released and people expected it to retail closer to $60.
Maybe they are actually responding to the negative feedback and adjusting the price downward.

If that's the case they should reward all preorders with special rewards or a partial refund. I'll take the dragon mount

I worked in retail for many years. In the eight years I worked for one company we sold a brand of vitamins for "20% Off."
Never, not once, were the products sold for retail value. So I guarantee you there is no law against selling an item at a discount indefinitely. In fact it is done consistently in retail to avoid people using discounts on certain products.
As for the Dragonborn Pack Price, it was 10,000 Zen on the server which Pin did the live stream from. No idea why it isn't on the live servers but I expect it will lose it's discount.

I don't have any issues with the pack having a permanent $75 price point. My issue is with being mislead into thinking that I was receiving a 25% discount with my pre-order. Pre-order bonuses are pretty common now in the gaming world and to offer a 25% discount an obvious pre-order bonus and then to rescind that on the day the item goes live with no explanation or compensation is just wrong no matter how you look at it.
They have to leave it at $75 for a while so that all the people who got their order refunded for no reason and without notice can rebuy it at the discount price they paid for the first time.

This! ^^
If it goes live at a $75 price point, then pre-sale buyers should be expecting a refund of $18.75 off their "pre-sale" price of $75.

same here ... i feel misled ... if i paid $74.99 for a $100 item by buying it early ... then what was the point if it was going to stay $74.99 after? do we get something extra other than having to wait for it to be fixed to even use it? or was this just a ploy to get money up-front on your part? i've bought concert / festival / game tickets many times in the past and by pre-paying (even with stores like WM, GS and Amazon) you got something extra for doing so that others did not on actual 'game day'. so what gives?
on the discussion of legal action, you need to address those concerns to customerservice@perfectworld.com. otherwise this consists of a rant thread when there isn't much in the way of a respectful or constructive discussion.

I always hope that people smarten up whenever something like this happens, but so far I have always been disappointed.

True. The advertised "pre-order" reward was the 25 bucks in savings. They took it away, and offered nothing in exchange. Glad I didn't pre-order...

... and then it turned out that all they did was remove the 'Founder' title.

They never hit the floor at $500. Ever.
So let's not get all up in arms that the pack is still "on-sale", ok?
