Patching every time?

The past few days, every time I launch the Patcher (which I've had to do several times a day, after each time I update my Foundry project, to avoid bugs and lag), it is going through the entire 3k+ KB download. Why is it doing this? It sometimes even does it when I close the game down.

Anyone else seeing this?

    Yep.

    However, after doing this a couple of times, it now starts patching and then jumps to "complete" after a few seconds.
    SEC! SEC! SEC! SEC! SEC! SEC! SEC! SEC! SEC! SEC! SEC! SEC! SEC! (repeat indefinitely)

    By the looks of it they're trying to get the next module preloaded as every time I exit the game the launcher pop up and starts to download 4.8 gigs worth of patch.

    However it looks to me as though they've managed to bork it somehow, as every time I exit NW the patch has reset to zero despite having actually left it to download the entire thing already.

    90% of the time it does the 3k patch. However when I restarted it 2 mins ago, it jumped to do a 2gig patch. Which I did when it was released yesterday. After another restart is just did the 3k patch and is playable. Sooo lets hope for hotfixes.

    same here, whenever i login, it starts to patch for 3391kb :(

    to have this happen every time you exit the game is bad enough, but to have it autopatch on startup is considerably worse.

    it can take well over a minute to actually launch the game after logging in because it keeps patching every time.

    I think I have it worse than most. I play every time I have a chance...so I launch the game a few times a day. I noticed the same thing, patching every time the 3Megs one. Just now I launched the game and started the patching HAMSTER again so I got "mad" and closed the launcher. 20 seconds later I re-launched and this time is downloading a 5Gig patch. I live in Alaska and I am capped on download to 200gigs, after that they charge you out of your behind.
    Where can I send Perfect World Entertainment the bill for the over-usage?

    patches ranging from 2gig, 3.2gig, and over 4 gig. every time I start the client. Sort of over it now. Tried setting fast start and disabling on-demand patching (whatever the hell that does). Seemed worse then - patch was still required but much much much much much slower. Did I mention over it?

    yep, one of the moderators told me this will happen every time until the shard maintenance is finished tonight

    Fast start just means that once you enter your password the launcher will press play for you once it's done its thing.

    On demand patching is an option I turn off as with a slow connection (2megs max) it will mean that travelling into a new or updated zone I'm faced with a potentially long loading time. With it off I get a big patch for everything and don't have to wait for ages during zoning for the general game, outwith the foundry stuff.
