No MoF love?

Anyone who tried something in preview knows that StormSpell is currently bug, even if they fix the crit and the proccing time/rate it'll still be slotted on a DPS build CW.

The only damage balancing right now is: "SHARD"
Storm Mage can bring out burst damage which causes huge paingiving points, and the adds/mobs always got wipe with their rotation leaving you nothing to burn at all (t2 mobs die so fast, that lighting anything is next to impossible if you're coupled with a good storm mage), be that as it may.
Your only option is to play aggressively which sometimes pays off, if you're into paingiving that much, since most of us love to base player skill based on paingiver and GS, my min max 14k cw always get left behind in my guild's recent runs. Those who played with me loves my ultra aggressiveness, but due to different timelines we can't always play together, most of my guildies, prefer cws who can bring more damage juice and doesn't bother listening to the rimfire and debuff of SOD.

I tested new builds and setups in shard with ACT, but the current storm spell is bug, further testing/comparing is still moot.

I compared the 2 paths in the current mod, I know its poorly reasoned because its very core lies within the paingiving chart, but the very purpose of this thread is "Variation", If the current cw in preview persist I can see in the LFG chat/guild chat: LF1M CW Storm Mage.

BUT I DON'T REALLY CARE IF THEY BUFF Storm Mage or make them godlike at all, AS LONG AS THEY REMOVE FTF and Add Meteor BALL (like in the dwarven valley Shamans) to the MoF arsenal and I would be very please :o

I think once they dial back the Storm Spell feat, you'll see a lot more parity.

Remember as it stands right now, MoF is adding a +15% damage buff for the entire party with SoD, which is massive. And with the buffs to SoD and CA, Smolder does an amazing amount of damage.

I've been a MoF for months now, and nearly always top the Paingiver chart. While Smolder may be a dot, still does a lot of damage each tick, and unless stuff is dying in less than a second, you'll see big damage numbers out of it.

Before they adjusted Storm Spell to ludicrous levels on the preview server Friday I tested many builds. The highest damaging builds I had found were Master of Flame builds. The two paragon paths were absolutely competitive. Once they dial back Storm Spell they should be again.

MoF will be awesome in 2 days with those improved passives! (due to Spellstorm was ruined and nerfed back to stone age of course...)

I am more excited to start to test my MoF than the whole Mod4/Warlock stuff...

Aside from the massive shard nerf, a tiny nerf to ice shard, ect.

The extra 9% bonus damage from Swath of Destruction is great. More smolder damage, 5% more crit to all encounters. Looks good to me. Capstone giving a chance of 10% crit. That'd be giving me 50% crit chance on encounters for 10 seconds.

Yeah MoF i've found great in PvE, but i haven't found a viable build yet in PvP (1 v 1 anyway). Struggled to juggle between Shield and FtF on TAB for survivability vs instant smolder add, and then rotating the need for Orb/CC and SoD.

You done much testing on this?

Ive been MoF Specced since it came out and i have no idea why i stuck with it.. the forced flame spells on the class just is so off, why add fire to a ice\arcane based class? And even more so now when Warlock has the flame theme from the get-go.
