And so Mod 4 Prepatching Begins

My Neverwinter Launcher began pre patching this morning for Mod 4. Very exciting to feel it starting up. It's like seeing it finally come into view way down the road after a long wait of an anticipated journey. Nice.

My patch is 4891MB - if anyone is curious.
The anticipation is exhilarating as I'm looking forward to all the new game content, new class, new race and all the rest.

    I've never had my launcher pre-patch. Played this morning and nothing like that happened. . .

    No pre-patch here and 4891mb seems to be too big.

    It was weird. Me and my friend logged into Neverwinter for 30 minutes and then we logged out to play League of Legends, and at that point on both of us Neverwinter went to download the 4891 mb patch, but we both cancelled because we were heading to League. This was around 8:30 to 9pm pacific. After an hour or two of League we jumped back into Neverwinter and this time it didn't want to do the 4891mb patch.

    Yeah, you can cancel it at any time and it usually remembers your cancel until the next day (qutsemnie's scenario) - it will attempt another pre patch tomorrow. I just let mine go and minimize it.

    And yes, the 4891MB is the size of the files that need to be patched and not necessarily the size of the actual download. Some newer files get transferred intermittently as you play the game (even with on-demand patching turned off). So some of those files may already be there and used in the current live version, but still part of the overall patch that will be applied. (Guesstimating here).

    Had a patch when I exited earlier, was about 2.xx gigs I just left it running, it's done now, but I have to leave so can't log back in atm
