Do you mean what is the conversion for power rating into damage numbers?

    According to the wiki:
    Weapon Damage * (1 + (Power / 2500))

So, having a power of 2500 doubles your damage. 5000 triples it, etc.

That cant be true because in the game, having 8000 power makes about +50% damage/heals.

Hey maybe the wiki is wrong. I've also heard it said that 100 power = +4 base damage.

The write answer is: every 500 power gives you +3% of damage.

That is absolutely false and just plain untrue.

    LOL

Well if you have a better idea, maybe go fix the wiki. I've never personally tested power out, because it's kinda the stat you worry about last in many classes/builds. So much more important to give a HAMSTER about arpen/crit and recovery/regen/lifesteal most of the time. :)

The alternative answer, if that's what the OP's looking for (I don't see him asking about specific calculations):
Power is the force with which you use your skills. Damage is that skill applied to a target, after all various resistances and buffs are calculated.

    Heehee

    Power = Voltage x Amperes

There, that's the correct formula. :)

Wiki is wrong. As for why it isn't fixed. One of the quaint amusing things about playing a low pop mmo is not all its secrets on a wiki =) In some ways playing Neverwinter reminds me of playing a mmo in 2000: some things are still mysteries. For the most part that wiki isn't actually that good. Why don't I fix it? It isn't wikipedia. It is a for profit webpage. I am not inclined to be especially community minded and apparently nobody else is.

The wiki page on Power is out-of-date, it was written long before the Power revamp in module 3.

The wiki is generally more accurate than both the forums and the developer's news feed, and often posts accurate information before the news feed, which is remarkable since it's two (2) players doing almost all the editing.

As for wikipedia, they don't host game wikis, so it's no surprise that Neverwinter partnered with a for-profit host.

Okay, so mod 3 revamped power... the original question still stands:

    What is the (updated) formula?

Anybody know for certain? I have to admit I'm like 25% curious now.

I had already posted the corrected formula: every 500 power gives you +3% of damage.

Okay so you're saying the updated formula is:

    Damage * (1 + (Power/16667))

That's a pretty big "revamp" LOL
