That sudden jolt in your spine and chill in the air that makes your neck hairs stand up. That's not fear, that's just the imminent arrival of the beast mode GF baby!

What do you meat shields think of your new ascendance to godhood?

    Now they just need too:

    1. Lower the prices on c-wards, p-wards, refinement crystals, enchant removal.

    2. Rework some of the unpopular weapon/armor enchantments.

    3. Fix the broken cosmetic look of the greater plague fire on most GF weapons.

    4. Buff Enduring Warrior

    5. Nerf HR's healing HAMSTER.

Enjoy it cause it was the same for GWFs when iV path was available in Mod2. Then you know sooner or later a huge nerf hammer invoked by tons of complaints will crush on your head. Look at GWF recent ubernerf and you know what awaits you in the future. Godhood comes at a price. And you pay it, sooner or later...
Mod1 GFs were pretty much the same: tank turtles that could 1 rotation kill people. And then they got nerfed to nothingness...Now they ascend again, but will later fall again. And as GWFs prove, the higher you ascend, the deeper you'll fall later.

Until the devs learn how to correctly balance classes...

    5. Nerf HR's healing HAMSTER.

They did. Latest change puts an ICD on Wilds Medicine.

As for the changes, I think people are going to be in for a terrible surprise when the superbuffed GFs roll out in PVP.

You guys needed a buff for sure but Jesus.

    2 points.

1 - in the beta/m1 gwf was not broken in the sense of being strong ... "powerful gwf" is a recent phenomenon.

2 - say "gf suffer nerfs" has to do not with hate gf or the "justice in balance" (strong gf is GOOD for pve; pug queues will be very fast). just give a good look in scenario.

    A) rogue / dc remain unchanged. the conquerer, potentially, has a super single target burst + buff for the party. people - dc/rogue - will complain about it.

    B) the main reason: cw receive profound changes ... I do not know if most of the players were able to adapt to them.

The "cw player", angry, will see, in the patch notes, all the these buffs for gf (and hr) and ...

    Welcome to hell, scapegoat..

ps:many gwf will complain too ... until the last patch I was angry.

    Hated GF.
Started one six months ago - abandoned it - twice.
Started playing GF on preview with new changes.
    Love GF.
Two of every other class/level 60, now will start my first GF.

I am so looking forward to this.
I've always respected people who continued to play GF with it's dismal performance (game-wise) - and I'm referring more to PvE/Party-play (I could't care any less for PvP myself - but I know it's important to many.)

It's just a shame (the way I see it) that it has taken so darned long to get some DevLove for GFs. Next in-line (I hope) will be DCs.

    I like guardian fighter class.
PvE its easy to get threat. Has alot of area effect powers.
    PvP your the knockdown/prone king.

Only complaint I have with guardian fighter is the Tab skill. I almost never use it and when I do it gives a little bit of dmg increase - which is roughly equal to the swing I would have gotten through instead of spending the time marking the target.

I do not like the new shield thing.
This is the one MMO where the tank is actually a tank.

Its fine to tweak a class. But swinging the nerf and buff bat around typically leads to people calling the developers incompetent.

I've ran some tests with the new class updates, and GF is one of the most broken things I've ever seen in this game. It's similar to the Mod2 Sentinel GWF, but with more damage/stun potential and way more survivability due to the immense HP pool coupled with the BI gears.

The shield is really just the icing on the cake.

I can't wait till mod 4 because atleast us gf players will not be deadweight anymore and actually be taken far more to do stuff.

If people still think the gf is op, wait till mod 4 drops and the river of tears from people about cws and hrs(new piercing damage feats) killing them in seconds happens lol. And gwfs can still do huge ibs hits(mark buff). So imo the classes that got worked on are on a pretty decent level in terms of damage in pvp. The thing that is gonna be a pain is kv and kc from the gf. KV has no downtime and can be just left on so the whole other team gets insane defense the whole time. And KC can be toggled off so a bunch of people will be doing that rotation which i couldn't care for.

As a last thing the cw atm has a bugged class feature which when fixed should be fine but with how some things are not fixed quickly this will lead to cws being on top for the first few days/week. But that is if this issue is not resolved before launch.

That is what I have been saying. All the hoopla about GFs is letting the CWs slip in under the radar. People are gonna schit. I've seen 18k CWs dismantle 18k GFs in Preview. And I mean keep a 55k HP GF under control so that he maybe fires off half-a-dozen attacks before dying and lands his first attack after losing 50% of his health.
PSA: You don't need to grind Spinward Rise for your Elemental artifact main hand if you have some AD lying around. You can craft it via the Tyranny of Dragon's campaign screen.

Everyone now has a chance to defeat the mighty faceroll ( GWF ) so as I see it balance has been achieved! CWs look like they will be tops, GF will be better but still easily countered and lots of bugs. Tr same, DC will be better in pvp, HR still tops, SW looking weak in pvp anyway...
