All my horses sound like they are running through water - all the time

I have been noticing lately (I think since last patch) that my horse always sounds like it's running through water (splashing) even on dry land. This happens on multiple accounts and characters. They ALL sound this way. I have completely uninstalled and reinstalled the game, with the same issue occurring.

I have several characters with the Waterdeep Horse mount and Storm Raider Clydesdale mount. Same issue - all sound as if they are running through water.

I don't have any other mounts to test.

*edit - only certain zones do this. Protector's Enclave it's the most noticeable. Oddly the horses sound normal in Caer-Konig
*2nd edit - appears to be the cobblestones, stairs and wooden platforms sound right in PE, just not the stones

Really? No one else experiencing this? After 3 reinstalls of the game from scratch I still have horses (and other players) sound like they are running through water in PE when on the cobblestone terrain. Stairs, wooden platforms etc sound normal. Really? No one?

Have you tried to run a force verify from the patching window? that usually fixes any corrupt files and if you haven't tried yet it could be worth a shot .

When my Nightmare (flaming horse) sounded like it was running through water during the Lliira's Night event I thought it was just some new sound effect for the cobbles.

"For the safety of all we will regularly wet down the cobbles under the fireworks during the event." Something like that anyhow.

My Shadow Wolf sounds fine, and my Armored Boar sounds fine. My Nightmare seems to have... returned to normal? Probably from one of the "verify files" as mentioned in the post above mine.

I have this in in the enclave since the jubilee, haven't paid attention on other areas.

I knew it was not just me this started around the same time they made trees in phase so you couldn't climb them to sneak in to the garden(which 'may' still be possible if you find a way to jump absurdly far) I thought it was just me because of the glitch DCs can use (not an exploit or hack) to look like they slide on the divine light during shift.

Yes I have tried force verify - numerous times - as well as clean install of NW - again several times - it's not me, it's the game. By clean install of NW I mean I completely unistalled the game and deleted any leftover files/folders and ran a reg clean - also removed ARC and reinstalled it the same way. Something else funky is going on.

Having the same problem, any update on the cause, or some kind of solution? It's been almost a month since the last post, did everyone go away because it got fixed for them or...what?
