Don't Waste Your Money in IWD - It's a SCAM

My GF has done over 40 days game play and has maxed out the campaign. Over 200 HE battles and ZERO MH or OH drops. ZERO.

My Wizard has two weeks in the zone and my GWF has one - ZERO drops for them either despite a combined HE total of 100+.

Weapon drops are a scam to get you to spend more money. I know, there are lots of people who have gotten them (you lucky btards). There are also lots of people who win the lottery every day, lots of people who have played in Super Bowls and lots of people who have won Olympic medals - that doesn't mean YOU are going to get one!

This whole drop thing is absolutely ...... I can't use the words I want to say.

Moving forward Cryptic, you'll be getting the same amount of money from me as I have gotten weapon drops..........

This has soooo put a bad taste in my mouth about a game I used to really enjoy. If anyone at Cryptic cares to look at my purchase history you will appreciate what a good customer you are losing.

It costs zero money to play IWD, and it costs zero money to participate in HEs. While I agree that the odds of the items dropping is abysmally low, I know that they *do* drop, so I don't see how this qualifies as a scam.

    Don't buy the Runeforge Kit.

Don't buy Black Ice Shaping Booster Pack.

Don't waste time or AD upgrading BI profession.

Maybe not a scam. I am posting about something that I am currently fired up about which is probably not the best idea.

Neither of which are required to get to IWD or take part in the HEs that drop the items in question. Heck, neither of the items you mentioned increase the chances of said items dropping, anyway, so it's not like they are causally linked, either.

You are correct sir. They are not linked. However, if everyone stops buying them maybe they will get the hint that this whole drop thing is a very bad idea.

The good thing is, you don't have to buy any of those items to unlock the full IWD content and be competitive

Yeah you don't have to spend a dime. I was just raging a bit. SSSOOOOO frustrating to have played so many battles with no drops to show for it :(

Yeah...I think rule 3.15 applies here. More constructive feedback, less threats and ranting.
