There has been a lot of debate of late which on is better, IMO FF wins by far even after the nerf.
FF give health regeneration the same as AS, where by BOH give you instant health (x-amount - depending on your character and stats)
I've done some test on the ACT, ran a couple of dungeons with both and compared the BOH to FF, FF out heals BOH by far, also with personal exp have seen how much more FF heals over BOH. (Been playing since August last year).
I'm currently running a 16k DO DC with the HP set (I play with other sets as well, just having some fun with HP set at the moment). My basic layout is AS/SB/DG for a nice debuff run - if more healing is need I just switch DG for FF and everybody gets enough healing.
I thought I'd post this for people to see and read, as a lot of people say FF is overrated and uses BOH.
FF provides greater heal, lower cd, faster casting animation, easy to target and never miss, and have a longer healing duration than BoH. Healing over time is always better and superior because in that duration, every time your allies take damage your FF can auto refill their hp. BoH provide a big heal every 14-15 sec, and in meantime if your allies take damage they cant be healed. Lastly, BoH casting animation is really slow.... I dislike it and only put one point in it.
My PvE rotation has always been BOH, AS, HW when doing full healing.. It's never done me or any group I've ran with wrong
I think it's just personal preference but both groups of DCs believe their way of doing it is better.
I build divinity up like it's going outta fashion on my PvE DC so I use it from divinity for the instant heal, which is the same as FF as it only heals when done from Divinity.

Pretty much the same here - I have never liked/wanted/used BoH or HW. I use SB/AS/DG most of the time and occasionally switch DG out for FF - keeping HG up as much as I can, of course. I alternate between HP and MH, as well as between Vorpal and Terror.
My solo configuration is different: SB/DG/DL.
Hoping for improvements...

I like switching from one to the other every few days or so (for the sake of variety), so I like both. For bosses like big dragons FF is useful when you don't see where everyone is and they are not grouped together, for a boss like the dracolich where I am mostly running for my life  , having a fast cast is useful.
on my last build I didn't put points on BoH
as AC most likely I will raise it last, the long cooling time is too much
I learned to like healing word with divine fortune.
especially in PvP and some last bosses
so much divinity
and as AC I take exaltation if I need extra healing
FF is good mainly to proc linked spirit with divinity
sadly its the only one that doesn't disturb CW's
Same here. I am debuffing so I don't use neither in dungeons.
However during Heroic Encounters I tried FF/BOH where you have to heal a lot but also damage and never buff anyone but yourself.
With BOH I can always cast it no need for divinity but it heals less.
FF heals a lot more but I need divinity to use so I have to use only every second on divinity.
To add a few points, FF is useful when everyone is healthy cause it deals damage. BOH just sits unused when your team is safe. Plus, non-divine FF slows the enemy. Really handy for getting an elite off your back and turning it into a sitting duck for your team.
Also, FF's cooldown and duration plays really nicely with AS's cooldown and duration. When you lay down an AS, and you're cooldown is 15 seconds, the effect will end with 6 or so seconds to go. Toss a divine FF and it will run until AS is ready. Constant team-wide protection and you'll never miss.
I do like the idea of bastion of health. And it looks cool. But it just doesn't have that reliable punch FF does.

Maybe if your team are all controlled by you and you can round em up for a petty BoH. Mobs are drawn to people, FF sticks to them, heals more, healing HUB that chases you, profit.

Forgemaster's Flame is one of the best spells we have in our arsenal, although I find it is quite underused in general by PvE clerics. Let's list out its main advantages:
- Our strongest heal in terms of raw power, it heals big and fast.
- A relatively short cooldown, synergies well with Astral Shield.
- It is the only reliable way to proc Linked Spirit - keep in mind that LS does not currently proc with D Astral Shield. LS is a huge buff especially if you manage to hit multiple allies.
- On bosses with a big hit radius, such as Fulminorax (MC) and Dracolich (CN), the heal area of effect is very wide.
- It deals good damage and can crit.
- On trash it is very effective if your group is disciplined enough to stay together and keep within the positioning of Astral Shield. For melee-heavy groups it's a no-brainer power to have.
Its only three disadvantages are:
- It's useless in non-divinity mode, except for generating divinity.
- If the party is spread out a lot (e.g. often the case with 3CW groups), FF is very hard to use. It takes some discipline sometimes to be effective e.g. the 'burn' phase in Valindra (VT) is much easier to handle if everyone stacks on boss and the DC uses AS/FF.
- If used on trash, its power is wasted if the mob dies too quickly. FF has an element of skill to use, as the DC needs to choose its target carefully based both on mob position and health status.
Anyway, once you learn to use it properly, FF becomes a staple power which is almost always slotted in. After AS, the third power of choice is almost always:
- Divine Glow - always on trash and most bosses
- Sunburst - awesome on some bosses like Draco
- Healing Word - awesome when party is usually spread out a lot like Valindra (VT)
Many people use SB/DG/AS as their "standard"...well, I prefer FF/DG/AS.

I'm in the SB/DG/AS group... sometimes SB/FF/AS or SB/DG/DL as I said earlier - the reason I don't use FF/DG/AS is because then I would have 3 powers that are primarily useful in divine mode, and I don't like that - SB is my staple non-divine power - the other two (DG, AS, FF or DL) would always be cast in divine mode.
astral sheild, sunburst, divine glow. if you need anything else its your party's fault.
(however pvp, which i rarely do...i use FF instead of DG for that tankiness. it does wonders)
