I just wanted to ask if there is any logical explanation to the way the matchmaking for 5vs.5 PvP currently works.
I for one, dont see any sence behind it atm whatsoever. What is the point on having a 5-men premade vs. 4-men premade + 1 pug, when that pug is pretty much guaranteed to have round about as good gear as a bot?
I was duo and 3-men queueing most of the day whith my guildmates, where everybody is somewhere between 15 and 18k GS. In every single match i did we got players with GS reaching from 12k down to 6k GS (!!!!) (also called a one-shot).
I dunno how other ppl feel about this, but i am really tired of the system as it is atm, either your opponents have so low ranking that you loose ranking by winning matches, or you loose the match against an equally strong team because 2 of your random teammates dont have the gear nor the experience to do anything against your opponents.
I would really like to see something like a average gear-score on matchmaking and also leaderboard influece ( since fully geared pve players usually dont stand a chance against fully geared pvp players).
Im pretty sure also the more casual pvpers would appreciate not to be constantly thrown into matches against BIS pvpers.
People know how to bypass losses on the board anyway...so worrying about ranking is pointless unless you are willing to do the same thing that they do. Also since people know how to do this, it's possible to get put with people who have incorrect ELOS, which gives off balance matches too.
The whole leaderboard should be reset and fixed.
And on a side note, Luskans walking around in Pirate outfits more than 2 weeks ago...diligently run Luskan GG and have 20 wins....
Again someone claiming Luskans actually win GGs. For some stupid reason, that never -well twice since I started playing- happens to me when I'm in my luskan guild. Is there some secret time or time zone thing agreed upon when PvP guilds in Luskan play GG or something?
And yet some Luskans have had their GG stuff all done for a couple weeks somehow...people you never even see in GG...

I wish the whole Leaderboard was done away with. It's fairly toxic to the PVP community as a whole.
Put in a manual, instance-based PvP queue. So when you press K, you see a list of possible Domination matches, you pick a team that appeals to you in composition and join in. When the instance is filled, the match starts. It should tell you the class makeups and gearscores of each team so that class stacking is passively discouraged ~ since if you queue with 5 GWF nobody would be interested to queue against you!
Right now the queue somewhat ELO-based, somewhat randomly puts 5 and 5 men together which is messy. On a manual queue, PM vs PM would be much easier, and pug matches would have a choice NOT to be matched against a premade-looking team. Queue times will be entirely under the players' control.
If you support this idea or believe it can be improved upon, feel free to discuss it further. Maybe we can pitch it on the preview forums in time for Mod4, but only when this has been well-thought out and unanimously agreed on.
Yea something like this would be awsome, just hope we can make enough noise for this so it gets some attention and maybe put on live someday.

Won't work. People will see that there is a FotM class in the opposite team and never join to fight them because that's a harder win. You know how Delzoun has more people and tends to win GG because people want easy rewards and to win? That same social problem will destroy all pvp with this system.

Some of the pvp guilds have many players queue up at certain times and being coordinated and well geared they usually win. Other times it's delzoun that usually win.
On topic the mods usually say it's just due to make better waiting times so that the matchup is laxed. Of course that makes sense to a degree, but they use it as an excuses for the most horrible matchups ever that should just never happen. It irrates me when they usually it as an excuses since it's somewhat intended but thinks that extreme mismatches should be excused as WAI. It's clearly not a well designed system, but it does somewhat provide better matches than without any system whatsoever. It could be vastly improved though as some matches just should never of happened.
Try to que solo, I had runs, where I had one PVE CW and the rest of the team had combined ca. my GS. ELO puts me with ppl like that (no gear) against at last 3 or 4 PVP toons with 16k+ GS perf. enchants etc.
It is hard to stay calm, when you die 3v1 on 2 or the enemies home node and you have to see, that your team, the whole team, tries to cap the homebase against one HR/ TR, while the other node is red and uncontested.
Do all the decent players go premade, so you have to PUG with ppl who wont contest a node for their dear live or did they abandon this joke of matchmaking and left?
WHY do I get 6-12k or PVE PUGs five times in a row, while my enemy team has multiple guys popping legendary artefact? If there are not enough players for ELO stop premade queing, so the teams are equaly geared and you dont have to play with a bunch of noobs against PVP-teams.
Sorry for this, but I am really angry right now, bc I had not ONE decent match queing solo in the last 3 days. 90% it is me and maybe another unlucky guy with ppl who die in one rotation and stay on base or home node against premades or semipremades or matches, where I can kill 3 of the enemy team alone.
Either this gets fixed somehow or PVP will go the way of the Dodo, it will die out.
ppl can change guild (I was delzon for one week = hardly 3 matches)
I guess that once they got the wins they switch to luskan to get rest of the pvp points

New record, pug tr on our team with 5.3k gear score. and it wasnt even a bot, they have 6k usually when you see them standing around farming instances and they dont lvl their artifacts to blue... who does that?
Do any of the people in charge of this game actually que for pvp? Implement a GS minimum like all of the other dungeon ques. To go in IWD you need 10k+ GS so why not have that for pvp aswell. No more bots or AD farmers problem solved.
