Just a question, where do you put those players who are under the required GS?
PVP is by far the second biggest game mode in Neverwinter. You have to give an alternative to players who are locked out of this.
I'm not saying you are wrong, but you have to account for other perspectives as well.
Now if you say have a separate tier for under-8k gs, be prepared to have a slew of complaints of people purposefully padding their stats to fit under that requirement with perfect enchants and have an unfair advantage similar to twinks in low level pvp (but to a lesser extent)

Why does everyone of these nubs got an Aurora artifact XD
It's like the signature Artifact of nubs.

He has no enchants (not even low ones) except in that cloak. I'll bet he put his purples on shortly after you inspected him. He's trying to manipulate the matchmaking. (All a guess of course, as I don't PvP, but the screenshot looks like a joke. Could anyone possibly be going in there like that, expecting to accomplish anything?)

PvP in Neverwinter without GS brackets is an absolute joke and everyone knows this.
Some people with tremendously high GS and lots of practice will of course claim it's WAI. They are also probably doing premades to avoid your situation OP.
Neverwinter PvP might as well be called "ROFLSTOMPIN" until they do something about GS and enchant brackets.
Pets in Open World PvP indeed. Hilarious!

Which means he did quite well in low level Domination PvP. He's in uncharted territory here.
I can sympathize with the op in this thread, because I myself have 16.4k GS in PvP. Even so, I can't carry two or three of these guys, as much as I think they're cute... I was not meant to overpower the other three enemy by overgearing them! Just to make a point of him having Dominators Cloak, I would say he's an avid PvP player and owed his ELO from kicking A at pre-60 PvP. But since he's sixty now, no amount of his skill can cover for our 10K difference in gearscore. I am wildly assuming with our ELO scores, we would be fighting opponents more my gearing level than his.
... OK you go flame on me ...
First time I did 60PvP, I quickly shoplifted level 60 blues from the AH, put in R4 and R5. Cost me like...um...the AD I made from invoking? O.O
I had 2400 regen according to module 2 META sitting around 8K gs against peeps with 12-14K and did amazingly well! That back then is the borderline 10K requirement that we all want now! I spend 2K AD on my alts' 19% Tenacity, for pete's sake.
I pose a more agreeable solution!
Do you remember the voice-over instructions when you start a character? "Rest at the campfire to regenerate hit points," "Press Q to use Dazing Strike, dazing and damaging your enemies!"
TL;DR
When you get to level sixty, Devs please tell people to:
"Go to the Tarmalune Action House to purchase level 60 equipment."
"Gear with tenacity will help you resist player-damage in PvP. Use invocation to obtain Astral Diamonds for this purchase."
"Go to the Domination Battlemaster to get your daily PvP Domination quest!"
when my ranger first reached level 60 it had just a bit more GS (at least had level 3 and 4 enchants) and i could really carry the team most of the time (being combat, if he is nature it is even better).
Thing is, GS matters nothing.
GS matters less, not nothing. Tenacity is everything. And it's dirt cheap.

My bad, your statement is more accurate than mine.
To me, when I happened to group with low GS players, I just remind myself, everyone, including myself, started as a newbie (in this case, a newbie in lvl 60 PvP). I know most likely our team will lost the match and I will just do my best to get some score (Through killing and node capping).

This guy cannot even que for level 60 D&D, why is he allowed to que for level 60 PvP?
If he equipped just quest gear he'd be better? Its a bit un nerving really, maybe make the Champion Set free? maybe make 3 pieces free get them started on where the pvp stuff is and how to go about getting some and upgrading Champion to Grim etc...

You are preaching to the guy who walked right out of the Mad Dragon dungeon cuz, hey, who here has figured out the sparkly quest trail thingie at level 30? Yeah... not my proudest moment.
the big question is would you be complaining if he was on the other team? i really dont think so i think all of pvp though should group more equally taking gs, level, and classes into consideration some newbies just give up on their first try because they get put against 3 or 4 cw's and its pretty much over especially if theres nothing of equal on said team

Yes! Its not good for the game or competition to have someone that poorly geared! Also its not fair to the players that do care and did get gear and did enchant to be competitive, only to lose because of this guy!

I just brought up my 4th sixty, I played Dom matches enough to get the entire t1 set for my HR, have 3 artifacts (all still green) and rolled into my first lvl 60 match , at 10.2k, I do have some lesser enchants on and a mix of 5/6s, this was more then enough to compete when I had my 2 60, but this was at mod 2, Let me tell you 10.2k isnt enough anymore, I rolled into the match and people had perfect enchants on and were clearly 5-6 or more k above me.
Here is one of my questions, DO you get elo ratings pre 60? If so that is clearly a mistake, I did pretty well as a pvp regular amongst pre 60 and was twinked enough to compete (though no perfect anything on this class, just some purples and lessers, was enough to help me get a positive k/d ratio and win 60 or so of my matches)
But simply that should reset at lvl 60, I shouldnt be rolling into matches even if my ELO was high enough to justify it, ELO should reset at 60 and you start a new. I dont want to roll against people I shouldnt be playing, but I know there is matches out there in that range I could compete and do well in, but I dont want to lose 28 more matches to get to that point =P...
At this point, may wait another 18 days or so, until I have 3 boons in both sharander and dreadring, and get to a higher gs before I go in again.
Im thinking around 13k is a minimum to compete almost, someone coming in at 6k will be fodder.

Bots can get up to 5 achievements easily. Cap points + 1, get assists + 3, get assists while under half health + 1 = 5. Bam! Dominator's Cloak.

This was already suggested. But we've got some sweet "you elitist jerks only spoil all the fun to common 1k GS players!!111" BS.
