Error 36

Anyone else having trouble logging in since the patch on 6/19? I keep getting an error message #36....something about a file that cannot be written to by the patch....anyone else having that problem?

I do not use Arc, maybe if I set the game up using Arc the problem would go away...I will try that.

    My launcher is doing the same thing.... I have no idea how to fix it :(


    It tells me a file was locked that could not be open for writing....

    That is the same error I received. And this has happened to me before. I forget how it was solved but I have a ticket sent in to the Help Area.

    Do you use Arc? I do not and I am wondering if that may have an affect.

    Run the game as Administrator , see if that helps.

    It doesnt.....I tried running it with arc, but it has an error updating arc...

    I got arc to repair itself...but it is not loading the launcher....

    When I start the client from the gameclient.exe, it loads a black screen, though the mouse pointer changes like it normally does

    Are we the only 2 in the world having this problem? Does PWI watch these boards at all? Can we get some resolution from them possibly?

    It is now telling me I need to patch @ 150-2000 megabytes... but it freezes when patching, and does not continue to patch....I am using a fairly fast connection...

    I received a response to my ticket. One of the suggestions was to run the launcher as Administrator...so if you go to your desktop and right click the shortcut icon for NW, there should be a choice to Run as Administrator. Click on that and it will patch perfectly, at least mine did. Good Luck!!!

    It still appears to be freezing...it has paused at 816 kb/155mb

    I restarted it patching....it gave a message that it could not connect, and then that I had 357kb/ 2225mb....

    I had this issue updating a friends launcher prior to the patch. I went into options on the launcher and clicked Force Verify. It checked all files and did a patch and worked fine. Maybe try that?
