Interference with Gameplay from: Scammers

It's well known that Cryptic can block names: Spock, Enterprise, www dot whatever. OK, so why not add "GGATM" to this list? These scammers send blind friend requests DAILY and often multiple times. This interferes with game play, especially during boss fights and PvP.

Ban the name already. Or add a feature which allows players to turn off incoming friend requests. Make it that much more difficult for them to operate so this game can be played with that much less harassment from them.

    Yes, so simple, and still nothing done bt Cryptic. There is simply no way to enter PE without getting an "invite" from a ggatm. Then you have to exit the game and start it again. Even CaerKonig is starrting to get plagued by the farmers as well.
    Some other mmorpgs also have bits but not to the point that the chat and the other channels and th pms and the invite and the mail are only a source of annoyance.

    If you set preferences to visible to friends only, that blocks party invites. No gold spammers, but you can't team up for anything.

    Simply because this isn't dealt with five minutes ago doesn't mean Cryptic is ignoring the matter. People need to understand it's a war, though. Whatever measures Cryptic comes up with, gold farmers come up with a countermeasure...the ridonkulously butchered spam messages in the LFG channel should be proof of this.

    Also, that's quite enough of the ethnic insinuations and stereotyping. Not all goldsellers originate from a specific country or region, and ethnocentric commentary is prohibited on this board in any event.

    Erm, like any other preference...you'd just tick or untick the option.

    The chat spam is easy to deal with. Ninja "Friend Invite" windows from GGATM clones are another matter all together. I totally agree that it is warfare, but that's exactly why I promote banning the name and implementing an option to block "Friend Invite" windows.
