I can't tell you how many people message me in game and say "dude roll another class", "Hey - your class is broken just play something else"

or many other variations of that!

I will not play a super class I like being the DEFENDER stop treating us like we are second class citizens, we are broken but not because of our individual skill!

Proud to Play my Guardian Fighter! Who's with me?

I also love my GF,being able to take a decent amount of hits for the team and as romon said it may be a big challenge but all games should have a little bit of a challenge.

I feel the same, I love and am proud of my GF I don't care about people who treat my favorite class like HAMSTER; they arent even worth the thought or frustration. I can't stand people who say GF is useless when I clearly know that it's not.

I dont need or care for others approval to play it and I don't care if they do more damage than me. My GF does what she's meant to do keep enemies busy and focused on her and she does it better than any other character I have.

For me effort = fun thats why I prefer my GF to my GWF because it takes little to no effort I barely have to think.

Is it hard? Sometimes but victory makes it all worth it.

GF has some problems but is a solid class even with those problems and hopefully those problems will be solved soon; I have faith in that.

CHERISH THE PRIDE YOU FEEL FOR AS LONG AS YOU CAN.

I remember that feeling playing my GWF before Mod 2. Back when out-dpsing a TR in PvE would make peoples jaw drop. Back when killing a GF in PvP would earn a private-message sharing respect. Back when tanking the Dracolich was something most people had never seen a GWF do. I know it doesn't always seem that way, but I bet like me, a lot of GWFs liked their class better when we sucked. Liked it better when nobody else played it. Liked it better when we had to prove ourselves to be noticed. The pride you speak of, CHERISH IT.

If the day comes when GF are overpowered, there will be nothing you can say to anyone to justify the class you play. Nothing you have accomplished , none of the knowledge or skill you exhibit with the class will matter, none of the victories you achieve will have merit. There will always be some crybaby shrugging off your notion of pride, dismissing your achievements, "you're just OP". You will no longer be that 1 guy who plays GF, "man I respect him for playing that class", instead you will be one of a million who have jumped aboard the OP bandwagon. Listening all day to people demanding you be nerfed back to the bottom while all you can think about are the struggles you dealt with while down there.

    YOU GOTTA CHERISH IT MAN.

My ranking likely suffers because I love killing GWFs. Learn his cycle. Guard strategically, understand his CD on Unstopppable and brutalize (this, in fact, only cleaves 20% of of his pool) repeat, recycle, do it again. 50-50 chance backup will come around and you are FUBAR. The other 50% is worth more than glory.

When i actually kill someone that thought I was the usual easy kill, I am super happy not because they new GF were easy kills but because he / she thought I was an easy kill! i love jumping and dancing over them, now this is a rarity of course but when it happens... woooooooohooooooooooooo!

GF on another not we just look cool! I mean out of all the classes if we were graded on coolness looking factor we'd be #1

I never really liked being the most popular class in any game.

No problem, it took me a little time to get used to the "second sort class" insults. (both on my GF, rogue and even a cleric lol). Can still bullcharge all those arrogant CWs nuts in PvP even with their icy at-will HAMSTER ignoring my guard though.

Tactician/defender PvP build here. Not proud of the fact that GFs were placed in the same section with Great HAMSTER Fighters, absolutely opposite skill level imo.

back when GWFs were the red-headed step children of neverwinter, i refused to make a TR for that reason. the game was full of them.

I love playing my GF. I like the tactical play and challenge of playing one in pvp. I hope to almighty Tempus we don't ever get to the point GWFs are now.
    That is all.

My GF is my main. I had him since beta. I love him and I'm proud to be one. I have all the monster slayer titles with him and the cool Master of Monsters title you get when you get them all. I am just now PvP'ing with him. 1 vs 1 I can kill anyone just about. Some really high GS gwf's kill me and perma stealth tr's give me trouble at times, but it doesn't matter. One day our class will be fixed and we will be Gods among men.

I love the game-play of my GF, and this character is undeniably my main.
PvE can often be tedious, particularly when comparing with my other characters, but I still enjoy it in PvP. And there, the challenge is part of the pleasure as long as efforts still bring some results; and as long as there's not too much of a gap in GS, I think I can stand my ground against almost anyone with this gimped class (and a ratio of more than 2 kills for one death in domination is good enough for me at the moment).
So I think I'm OK with playing it for a while. It's not as broken as it's often presented.

I dislike playing a Guardian Fighter - because I personally don't like the mechanics and style of play. But, with that said, I highly respect those who do. And though I don't do PvP and rarely do Dungeons and group play, whenever invited by a GF to party together in an open zone I always accept it. On any occasion where I am in a group with one I'd never vote-kick or otherwise look to belittle someone playing that class. And If I were to create a pre made I'd want one with us.

You have my respect and I salute everyone playing that class. I think it's a good class (game balancing notwithstanding).

I love playing my GF. I prefer it over my CW since they are just too OP its cringeworthy, (same goes for my GWF in PvE).

    However GFs are pretty useless.

like prefering it because its a novelty to you.

Well... its true. I spend most my playtime on my GF, he has pvp tasks unlocked, black ice gloves/MH. where my other characters have none of either things. But when someone needs help with a dungeon, i have to log onto my previous chars :S i wish it wasnt the case.

Yeah well it would be nice if you had skills to actually defend people.

Other games have skills for tanks such as sharing damage, shield and hard agro taunts. Not this game though.

Seriously? Knights valor? takes 50% of all allies damage and gives the other half to the GF of which you can block?

Enforced threat with enhanced mark is as good as a hard aggro taunt I know this because when I use it I am almost automatically surrounded.

I swear its like we dont play the same game sometimes.

    Maybe we don't....

I really like having a GF in a party when I play my DC.. seems to be smoother run. Sadly neither class is needed all that much seeing the way cryptic has taken this game. I know a lot of people don't like the holy trinity style but I for one do. I can't stand how the tank and heal based classes get left to the wayside in favor of nothing but dps since they can stack lifesteal and quaff potions. There should be some semblance of balance though to be honest I don't know what that is.

Having said all that I will not give up my GF or my DC for anything and to hell with all the haters.
