Gaurdian Fighter worst moments?

Lets talk about some of the Awe ****** moments we have daily...

Last night in a Domination we were out matched by the opposition having a TR/ 2 GWF / HR / CW We managed to keep it competitive as we had myself GF / TR / CW / DC / GWF I tried holding 2 for some time allowing a small defense for my team running back from 3. Anyway I see a one of the GWF galloping over the bridge above me toward our node, I decide to call it out on the game voice chat and proceed to try and hold him off.

Hes there he see's me coming but just stares at me because he knows he can stomp a mudhole in my *** without even trying. I try and get him to set up his rotation and trying to stay moving I finally juked his FLS was so happy I then start my rotation... I'm doing ok I guess as I can only do so much damage and hes probably about 75% Im at 45% from what who knows I was only hit maybe 3 times and im below 50%!

Our CW respawning runs up to help and we double team the GWf and get him to pop his GOD MODE button, now hes un ccable he goes after CW with a vengeance I cannot do anything to stop him but pound on his back like a toddler as hes beating on our CW. She dies I try and res her but nope not happening, he turns and runs at me popping his GOD MODE button again?????? I just start jumping and running around the center pillar.

The node is still ours but im really low on hp I use a potion as I got nothing left, I manage to get off a couple lucky ccs and he's low like really low but my encounters are on CD and all I got is cleaves and tides of iron that are hitting him for 1200 damage tops.... Hes so low I know hes got maybe 8k hp left he sprints away, I wait........ wait more....... still can't mount.... Finally yehaw!

I mount up and cap the node I jump down to grab the floating pot, he comes galloping back and kills me with 4 hits! caps the node back and when I res at campfire I can see him staring over at me but I cant mount yet still in combat even dead..... I wait .... wait.... wait finally mount up run over and now theres 2 GWFS I get roflstomped in seconds.

We lost we tried to stay close and did but still lost.

Fun Fact: Terrifying Impact will prone a GWF in unstoppable, often saving teammate's lives.
It can also interrupt and prone a TR in DF or Bloodbath.

Yea, I had not time to change out, I had my 2 dailies I usually use as a Swordmaster setup. The story wasn't meant to create anything but a funny story.

Yeah.

On that note, I was just fighting some NPCs in open pvp for the golem daily, and out of freaking nowhere, a 2 GWF, 1 HR, 1 CW pvp guild team just up and destroys me before I could even flinch.
CW entangles me, 1 HR cc shot, and 2 ibs, and im back at the campfire. SF didn't even proc.
All that and I have full profound tactician with 20% tenacity.

I always slot SOS in one of my dailies - it's my anti Perma and GWF (most of the GWF and perma) and i MEAN MOST still tries to hit you even if you have it on.

i usually use TR on my 2nd at will and let my shield slam do the shield regeneration.

You want to fight attackers off the node when it's yours, so given the chance you want to try and lure them away.

Would be fun to try a 5 GF group. Maybe not.

Yea you guys are analyzing my post for the wrong reasons lol, I didn't post that to create another GWF kicked my butt thread. I wrote it to entice others to maybe post their silly stories of dying in all aspects of the game.

So you blame your own lack of preparation on how unstoppable a GWF is and then try to make it sound like "just a fun story"? Yeah right. Man, as a fellow GF player I can say this - you aint helping like at all! Every one of your threads that is supposedly for the GF class is in fact for the GWF class and is, in essence, a 'nerf this' thread.

I'll humor you tho, here's a fresh one. I play only fighters in any game. Naturally my 2 toons in NVW are the same. So I was running my nearly 17K GS Destroyer in a random Domination last night. Two GFs tanks on the opposing team. Those guys completely canceled me out. Perfect negation is what Id call it. Any node I went for they were cutting me off. They were tough enough to take it and they timed their low dmg cc just right so I couldnt pop my " god mode " as I was being thrown around like a rag doll. I could survive them if I ran as their dmg was really low but that fact remains they won the match. The super duper, god mode, on steroids, turbo charged etc etc bla bla GWF didnt faceroll the poor GFs. My own GF cant do that since he's a Conq, he can however kill a GWF in 1.5 rotation if nobody comes to save him. So even tho GF are neglected they can be viable if you want them to be.

Thats awesome, however 2 GFs can do well against 1 GWF. Had only 1 been there you'd have crushed him and laughed at his dead body.

I did end up 1vs1 with one of them on my home node and no, I didnt crush him. He was a real tank, his guard meter seemed to last at least 2x the guard of my own Conq GF and he was also geared since his weapons and armor were all sparkling and shiny. Our fight was interrupted but if I had to guess I'd say I would've taken him down eventually after a long fight but I cant be sure because any smart GF brings TI daily to PVP to stop pesky cc immune people and it seems a real tank can simply outlast a GWF Destroyer 1 on 1.

yea, its hard to get off though its not fast like FLS, so if you lag for any reason it will miss.

Ok then ill share one of my all too common ones. So i queue up and after waiting like 5 mins i finally get a match and was the game sorts out the teams im checking my team GS . I had 15.5k GS and the rest of my team had 9k and below so i shrug and say heck ill give them the benefit of the doubt. I checked the scoreboard before the match starts to see what we up against and i see we're up against some top tier guild players , i shrug again eh. The gate drops and ALL 4 of my teammates go to the middle point , and i see like 2 of their members approaching and who would of known it was 2 GWFS with black mist and giant glowing swords coming at us. Mind you this was patch day of Deep Cuts getting reworked , i place my shield up and he sprints/TR cancel/Knockdown me and IBS me in 1 rotation and im missing 60%(Mind you im 49% DR , 27% Deflection , 31k hp , 32 AC, 2k regen) fine just fine , so i get up brush myself off like a big boy and proceeds to BC/LS/FLS/3xAuto him only for this same guy hp to be at still 80%..../Shutdown Key

That IBS sent me on vacation!

Never happened to my GF. Whenever defending solo at b1 and seeing some incoming red guy I always hope it will be a gwf.
My worst moment was during levelling. Pit fiend skirmish, final boss, I confidently run alone at the boss and I get killed by the adds. That's the day I learned that a GF could die in PvE.

in open world sometimes ill find a good gf who will give me trouble but honestly even good gfs are at a disadvantage versus me (cw) and i would probably try out a gf sometime if it wasnt so depressing to even watch them try and fight people, let alone be the gf who is fighting

Worst GF moment was actually PVE. When I leveled a GFF to 60 and decided to gear it. All the work it takes to make my GF work in a party and then.... Hold down left-click, tap tab, hit encounters when they pop. R5s and Thayan drops. PUG for CWF groups in LFG and faceroll everything to build AoW. Depressing.

Last night I was killing Frost Giants and was fighting 2 trying to beat them down as they pound on me, and from my side I see a hunter killing his 2 with Galeb Dur tanking for him, he was already done and moving on and his companion looked like it took less damage then I did? Lmao I was like no way............

Why rez if your getting attacked? I only do if we have either defeated enemy or enemy is proned or engaged, if Im being attacked on any of my classes, I would never take the time to rez at that point, its at most like 13 seconds and sometimes like 2 to get back. With more health to boot. Rez sometimes work, but I dont understand at that point why bother?

BTW.. I keep waiting for my GodMode to kick in on my GWF.. i die aplenty like 740 kills 690 deaths. Im at 15.3k in dom matches right now. Sure I can kill the very weak with one rotations, but Ive put everything into some GFs and DCs and barely seen any damage removed, Im also destroyer specced ect. I do not have perfect enchants, and carrying around just a lesser bark.

Is this thread more for the 17k+ or so?

I do agree about the horse combat timer.. annoying when Im on my DC and CW.

Also, ya, sucks to be a DC in IWD , so I do feel your pain, any class other then the GF and DC are fine, saw a TR this morning just hopping in and out of stealth and killing one mob at a time, sure slower then my CW or GWF, but darn easier then me getting hammered on my poor DC.
