GWF Damage Fix/Adjustment

Just saw this on the patch notes for Preview this week:

    It will probably result in them 1 shotting Beholder!

    the dev said it will be -13% total damage that was a bug (yes, poor excuse, I had reported all this)

    but expect more.

    whereas in the damage of all party tend to be 3x bigger, yes it will be a big shock.

    ps: bf will be harmed as well.

    13% lesser damage is A LOT in PvE, I mentioned it but doesn't matter, every time someone complain about the most stupid thing in PvP it gets fixed but if it's related to PvE no one care, they should know that there's a lot of people that work hard to do a good job in PvE, I love to help my guildies with my GWF, I don't want to play a CW, geez. I hate this.

    As far as destroyers purpose, the dev states the change will only amount to 8% percent, but I am not sure on that as the math they have provided just isn't adding up.

    I did some random tests with Destroyer's Purpose before after I saw how much Destroyer was different from the tooltip and (I think, this is purely from memory because I wasn't intending to find anything about it; just curiosity) it gave around 49% or so instead of 40%. I'll do a random check on live in a minute to see if I'm remembering correctly.

    Thank you midnight for your testing. Just wish I could make their math work out right. I am probably just not applying it correctly, or there is some other underlying formula they aren't telling us.

    I did a quick test on live a few minutes ago and edited the post accordingly.

    Tests on preview after the patch:

    Destroyer class feature without feat at 3 stacks:

    Result: +27% <- On target with where it should be. This class feature now adds +9% damage per stack when it is maxed; they updated the tooltip.

    Destroyer class feature with feat at 3 stacks:

    Result: +37.5% <- On target with what the dev said it should be.

    1 - this is a nerf (is registered) the destroyer already had this calculation before receiving 2 BUFFS (or Not only the feedback has not been read, how the feet have not been tested.) . what happens is that it was given a bonus "x" camouflaged by "y". then you can go back and say "hey, this is a fix, not a nerf." And Tell passing; is a nerf that does not solve anything. as the problem is with the iv, and are not going to get the iv, the attack will be against gwf.

    yes, I'm very excited to continue playing...

    about cw:'re expecting a change since the beta. for me, that is May of last year. more than one year.

    now the question: cw will be "fix" - fix what? - or destroyed? and after this, the gwf is the new "super pve class"? will receive a nerf too? or maybe this game receive a new king. this is the problem. you can not make a projection about your class. you can not visit the forum to give a positive feedback (which will not be passed on ... I've seen great ideas on pve, but what was passed on this open pvp), it boils down to discuss with a lot of boring kid, which makes him a boring kid.

    but yeah. gwf is "fixing". the life continues.

    To be really honest, GWF's IBS was dealing surprisingly ridiculous damage when it's feated and also given enough debuffs.

    So yes, GWFs might be slightly weaker in PvE, but I'm glad that this was actually not intended and it's eventually going to get fixed.

    It is a good nerf though. GWF is just a bit too silly atm. Like GWF 1 v 1 it is just who crit first win or who got daily first win when both player are skilled.

    I hope that stop people from crying.

    Hopefully people stop the hate campaign, not for my benefit but theirs. Turning against a class in an MMO is 'triumphant' for the haters, but they exclude an entire region of the game from their perception - "ahahah, we've cleansed the GWF"

    What happens after is the equivalent of buyers remorse. Still glass cannon. Next time don't let the ball leave the tube.

    I expected the change to be a rounded 27% dps decrease in PvE.

    At 13% this is how it scales:

    45min ToS with 2 GWF DC 2 CW exemplar:

    GWF - 10mil damage ToS run - 1.3mil less damage - time taken for another class to apply this? it would be 4mins~8secs to apply this alone. instead it's ~ 1 min in any class set up as there are 5 players (if there is a 10mil dmg dealing GWF anywhere in party currently).

    The 27% dps decrease prediction arose through pack crunching instead of boss fights, Takedown 27k crits would be 24.xxk @ 13% base, someone else removes that HP and the mob is removed from the map. On to the next pack, 13% less dmg in FLS /NsF/Wicked - someone else - next pack.

    Target dummy might be 13%, but even at 27% it's not even worth mentioning as a nerf.
