I have all 3 possible pieces for the corrupted ice set for the gf and are all empowered to tier 3 status. the problem is when i try to queue with only two pieces which should be 20% enough for the requirements to queue, is not enough. To properly queue I need to have all 3 pieces of black ice equipment on to enter the queue for Kessel's retreat. Which would mean that the bonus black ice resistance from empowering black ice gear to tier 3 is not being applied. Please fix this or else people who have only bothered to get two pieces to go to Kessel's retreat will now have to get a 3rd piece to go.
Do you mean on live or on preview? on live you shouldn't have unlocked kessells yet since the most rep you can have today is 190 , if you mean on preview the black ice gear is bugged at the moment , none of it offers any black ice resistance.
This is on live btw. The reason I have 200 rep today is due to the fact there was something i did on accident on the first day of module 3. I took the ten town rep quest and then broke my contract and then took an arcane brotherhood contract and got a second rep quest. That is why I am a day ahead of almost everyone there are a few others who have this extra day ahead as well, I saw another in dwarven valley before anyone else was there as well.
oh wow nice , the resistance bug was on preview but you can't test to see if it got fixed because black ice gear seems to be broken at the moment on there , sounds like it is even more broken now on live though xD
I can queue currently if wearing all 3 pieces of my corrupted black ice gear(empowered to tier 3) so all is not lost but to those who have only made 2 pieces and empowered them they will be unable to queue.
Or the bonus black ice resistance from empowering is not adding the extra 2% for each piece gear is my suspicion from how there was a problem with the gear before.
That's how it WAS on preview also . You couldn't enter without 3 empowered pieces .
We constantly asked about the tooltip value as ( showing same wording now as before ) it would mean an error in their boolean programming syntax , but they resolutely refused to answer us .
Go figure .
Start the complaining to the devs AGAIN .
I'm not hijacking the thread , merely pointing out that this same scenario existed on the preview server . So the situation has never changed , just like the skirmish tooltip .
And this was posted in the preview bug forums also .
This was just a simple bug report and hypothetical theory on why it is this way please don't hijack the thread with complaints please and thank you.
There is a patch note regarding this issue stating something along the lines of, when feeding BI gear to meet the Kessell's Retreat requirement the increased resistance is not recognized by the queue until after changing maps.
For example, lets say I'm in IWP and have two pieces of BI gear. I feed the BI gear to 20% then queue for Kessell's, I'll receive the "do not meet requirements" UI. If I then go to Caer-Konig and queue for Kessell's, the queue will now recognize the 20% resistance.
Thank you for your feedback. I believe we have a fix for this issue in the works if not already in the next build.

my post was not directed at anyone just a general statement to avoid unnecessary posts. And yes I have read the preview section version of this thread only making it known that it is present so people are aware when they unlock it tomorrow they need 3 pieces if they want to do it tomorrow.

this does not work...
its absolutly stupid that they couldnt fix this issue... i grind since release the encounters with 3 toons and didnt get a single glove out of it... now i have to wait 2 weeks more til i get my armour to get in or what?? how really stupi stupid can DEV's be??

This workaround doesn't work , just incase you didn't get the gist of the other threads created about it being broken , the skirmish requires over 20% black ice resistance.
