Changing to Direct X9 to increase performance in dungeons

This was a Godsend before the latest update to the game, the new module, now it no longer works. I do have a problem with overclocking my computer as the gfx card not so much, but the processor sometimes bugs out, and it will cause any video im watching to jerk, as such it seems to do the same to the game. When I get in a dungeon somtimes, it will start lagging to no end. With my current overclock I used to be able to max out pretty much every slider in the game and run around 30 fps or so. Now it geeks out and I have to turn everything all the way down to finish a dungeon. My computer plays Bf4 on high yet needs to be toned down to play this, I dont get it. I did however change back to Direct x 11, but I doubt that is the fix. Most likely I will have to restart my comp, set the overclock and jump right into it. I never had this issue before. After somebody told me to change to Direct X 9 it was like a great fix. Any ideas anyone?

    so nobody knows, it sucks, i used to play highest settings now I am forced to play Medium to low. What happened?

    No idea , the game used to look beautiful in module 2 even on my ancient computer but this entire reworking of the graphic settings has wrecked it completely , it wouldn't be so bad if the rework was needed but it wasn't , guess the devs haven't heard the saying if it isn't broken don't fix it.

    Hey seriously nobody knows why this <font color="orange">HAMSTER</font> is happening all over again, I cant be able to play Battle Field 4 on high settings and this game goes like 7 FPS on low settings. give me a break

    Before mod 3 I could play at max settings all over neverwinter. Mod 3 came I still could but notice occasional spikes generally when everyone did a big fx aoe at once. Then that first patch came, I had to dumb to lowest settings just to do a dungeon. Then yet again another patch I cant even do a dungeon, and have to wait upwards to ten minutes for enclave to."catch up", now this last patch its none playable for me.

    Its heart breaking because pre mod3 the game ran so fluid for me, even while tethered to my phone even during the "throttled" period by my carrier of only 30-40kbs. Im sure my highend gaming machine helped, but still the game was absolutely playable without having to have the best of the best net connection.

    just double checked and yah my BF4 on my comp looks just as good or better than my PS4 so your game is messed up. Its a shame, i cant play lol..

    I already tried everything here to make it run as before. nothing worked. even in minimal, minimal configuration I can not take 3 steps without stopping the server.


    whatever they did to the game, discard. is not working. not brought anything good.

    ps: if occasionally works ... i do not know if it has something to do with the graphics.

    i really enjoyed playing this game, I enjoyed the challenge of the dungeons. I double checked and made sure nothing happened to my CPU and sure enough after playing BF4 and seeing it look as good as my ps4 if not better, IM SURE its not me.. its the game. I already had this problem with Starcraft 2, I went through 2 laptops and 1 cpu to get it to work and nothing worked besides playing it on low with mid range gear for its time that should of played the game on the highest settings. So here I am again, I think im about to give up on PC gaming yet again, its so much of a headache just to play a freaking game.
