Every piece of armor I see for the new daily hub has tenacity on it. Am I missing a non-pvp set? All the pieces also have the new Black Ice Damage resistance on it. Does this mean that the Kessell Retreat is a pvp-based instance/dungeon?

So far, other than the class artifacts, I see no real reason to waste time on the new zone. I don't like pvp. NWO pvp is not, and I don't see it becoming, balanced. And its open world pvp, though that part is restricted to a given zone.

Is PW going to give us a free bag slots to store a complete set of resistance gear that will be gimped with tenacity? I doubt it.

Any useful, non-troll, comments would be much appreciated.

I think the main reason it has tenacity is for people who want to do both PvE and PvP without switching their gears. I don't think Kessel Retreat SKIRMISH is PvP.

PvP is restricted to certain part of the map. You get flagged for PvP when you entered the red area and there is a cooldown before the PvP flag gone when you get out of the area (Opposing faction that flagged also can attack you (vice versa) while doing HE). Meaning, you can skip the PvP part and quest. It doesn't affect IWD campaign progression as PvP has it's own campaign.

5th day I have no problem doing PvE HE and Large/Epic Encounters with players of opposing faction. Player that being "neutral" can't kill a flagged player anyway.

The armor is universal, it is for both PVP and PVE. There is a reason it has an innate resistance to an NPC damage type, after all. In addition, you are not losing stats for tenacity. The sets offer comparable stats to T2 armor even with the extra tenacity stat. And that is at their base stats, even before you charge them up.

A fully charged rank 3 set of armor offers the best stats of any set piece in the game, tenacity or not.

Tenacity is an extra stat. Likely because open world means that you'd otherwise need to constantly swap your armour otherwise.

That is not true. PvP isn't restricted to a certain part of the map and there is no cooldown before the PvP is gone. There are 2 ways that the PvP flag is removed. First is that you die and the second is that you go near a campfire. If you avoid those 2 things you can remained flagged as long as you like even if you aren't in the pvp area.

Yep, I checked the stat sums and they roughly match other T2 equipment without the tenacity stat. That one is extra on IwD equipment (as opposed to Gauntlgrym stuff that, IIRC, has lowered general stats to accommodate for tenacity).

Where is my "regeneration" for newer armor sets, so far i dont see any types of enchantment with regen ability.

also, Yes, where is newer bag slots? bank are limited with 3 released mod adventures, Feywilde, Shadowmandle, and Icewind, not one of them add any new bags or added. except we had recently got a very limited slot and a shared slots but that not enough.

would be nice if we get our own "personal" home for Armor stands as placeholder for armors as it grows with expanding armor list, and some dont want to throw away. once we get armor stands, then we could click it for appearances or able to dye it.

most of all, i would like to see newer regenerate set, but all i see those newer set are kind of low trade-downs, with lower defense value and higher GS, we lose big amount of defenses, sure yeah, with bigger health, but that dont last very long.
Guardian Fighters are suppose to be prime tank and they need alot more if the clerics in group are down, they need some taunting types to help clerics not being targeted by mobs.
Greater Fighter Warriors wasnt built for tanking and they just do more damages but less protections.
that why i dont understand why most groups dont pick up GF or often booted out in favor of GFW which they are not tank class, and GF were almost always at the bottom of dps list, and GF are too slow to move away from red areas, so that why they rather have GFW because they move quicker.

as other said in above posted, swaping out with sets do take up some slots.

Even though this is true, it doesn't seem to be causing any major problems. PvP battles are not spilling all over the PvE map. Sometimes, some troll will chase a person beyond the PvP area just to gank them like a beyotch but other than that, you don't get housed if you've been in PvP area and then left it. I've never seen an opposing faction go after people during a Heroic Encounter either.

I _ALWAYS_ get ganked if I'm outside the PvP area and I'm marked, HE or not.
