I need your opinions [Profound VS 40K Glory Artifact]

I have 44K Glory right now. That's enough for two pieces of Profound gear.

My question is: Should I get the Profound pieces (For a 2+2 combination with another set) or wait for IWD to release and get the artifact?

Any replies appreciated.

Additional info: The 44K Glory account is a GWF alt-account and not my main. But it's the account that has the most glory out of them all.

There is a Class artifact you can get from a quest in Icewind, don't know the stats, so ya might want to hold for a couple weeks to decide.

    Wait for the Artifact.
Once IWD is released the Profound Gear will be Nearly worthless compared to the Black Ice PvP Gear, if the Stats I've seen posted are accurate.

However, the grind to get the Black Ice gear can be rather long, and the PvP is easily accessible so the Profound gear may help you out in PvP while you gather the Black Ice stuff.

Not sure if that will matter to you, just something to think about.

Last I checked, you can't buy the 40k glory artifact until you get a Seal of the Battlefield (which gives you one of those artifacts for free.). Did that change?

If you are good at pvp and can spend playing the game for several hours a day then 40k glory can be had in 4 days or even less.

I then doubt the 40k artefacts will be rare or epic but only uncommon and therefore only offer a single bonus at start and you will have to collect refining material like for any of the other artefacts. You should be much better geared if you go for the set pieces right now and use them to get more glory than to wait for what will likely be only a small bonus at start.
    Stay frosty.

I get 30+ kills on average in poverty PUGs and around 250-700 glory per match I think (Glory per game is way too slow for the effort) . But I have no patience to play PVP all day :/

I hope what orangefiree says is true, would be a win-win situation for me.

Unless you are planning on having Black Ice gear 24/7 and farming black ice relentlessly since you are a very active player, I'd say get the profound gear. The new PVP artifacts are like buff banners. You plump them down, everyone near it gets a very little buff in stats (some of them debuffs the enemy's dps or defense). If you already have 3 artifacts, I don't know if these are really good. They are more useful in big group vs big group wars I guess? I don't know if they stack though

I made an unfortunate assumption in my original post:
I was assuming that you already had the entire Grimm Set, top to bottom.
If so, the difference between Grimm and Profound is really nothing to wright home about.
I don't intend to get that set at all, myself, unless I unexpectedly find myself positively awash in unused Glory.
But if you don't NEED another Artifact and you haven't gotten the Grimm Gear yet, then, yeah, go for Gear, man.

You won't need to farm that much to keep black ice gear empowered.

I'm fairly certain that most classes besides a TR will go for the Black Ice Gear. If you do, hold off. Between crafting and open world PVP, Black Ice will not be hard to get.

I'm not sure yet if the PVP Artifacts can be purchased with a token only or with Glory only (or both?). We'll see.

The artifact debuffs stacks rasied concerns on pve being far too easy, devs said it wont stack, forgot what thread probably the preview one.
