Hi everybody.
Ok, so I've just started playing Neverwinter, and I've been looking up class guides and what not. I understand the Primary Stat, and the Secondary Stats, they make sense but what about the other 3 remaining stats? Do they have any relevance on your character at all?
I want to make a Great Weapon Fighter, so I'm naturally trying to get the primary and secondary stats as high as possible but is there a downside to having say, 9 Intelligence or Wisdom? I was searching for guides and found this on Ability stats
http://neverwinter.gamepedia.com/Ability_Score_Rolling which gives a table on the way it rolls them. But the comment at the bottom has me confused,
"The primary ability score is always the highest.
The secondary ability scores are the second and third highest, in no particular order.
The remaining three scores (A, B and C) will be placed in a specific ability, according to the character's class:"
What ability are they being placed in and what does that mean?
Can anybody clarify this for me please?
Thanks.

The table under the "ability score" heading will tell you what each stat does.
*edit*
I may not have fully answered your question so here's a little more detail. As you level up through the game you'll get more ability points to distribute. At level 30 and 60 you get to add 1 to every category. If you start out at 8 in one stat then you won't get it over 10 to get the "bonus" from that category. It's not really a major loss, though. If you short Intelligence, for example, you'll probably never miss the 2% recharge speed that you would get from having it at 12 rather than 10.

you also want to refer to this as well:

pvp theorycrafters will point you in the direction of wisdom for control resist as well as halfling for GWF, also for the same reason. all of the ability score roll possibilities are in that table, so you would want to roll a high number in that stat as a GWF.
i'd also look at some of the recent or updated class guides and builds here:
http://nw-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?437341-Guide-Class-Guides-Builds-and-Resources
also, the class specific forum for GWF and GF:

Some rolls can have more points in total than some others..
I would not recommend getting the one with low tertiary point stat of 8 or 9.. since @ level 30 and lvl 60 you have to increase +1 to each stat... making the low stat useless overall even after being automatically increased. Because ability point of 10 and below dont give any bonus... And trust me, each stat can have its merits while not being primary/secondary stat.
Altho in some cases it wont be game breaking, but in other cases it might. Depends on the circumstances.
but for more pve oriented style high str human or orc.wisdom int are not important in pve in pvp con is the king and max con is a must.
just the basics
