Hi, ok I think this is a bug but not too sure so please help. I have tried at least 20+ (30+ I think if my memory is correct) CTA Battle for the Bridge skirmish but still have not received a single companion reward. It is getting tiring to repeat the same quest so many times, so could you help fix this, what is the average number of tries required to get the companion?
That's not a bug. Getting a companion from CTA events is random, so you might get one the first time you do it or you might be unlucky and do it 100 times without getting one.
The more you do the mission the bigger the chance you'll eventually get a companion, but there's no guarantee no matter how much you repeat it.

I think it is Super bad luck after 30+ tries still no companion reward. What happened to the law of averages? Who plays so many hours just to get one companion? I think they should at least allow people to buy the companion like Respen's marvelous game.
It's random. I got my Flame Sprite in my 19th run in this CTA. But in the last CTA: Defend the Temple, I had to run 83 times in order to get a Moonshae Druid.
Same issue here, I've done CTA literally hundreds of times, and to-date have only received one companion. The companion needs to be purchasable from the event vendor.

No, the more you do the mission, the chance remains the same every single time.
This increased chance is erroneous thinking about the Law of Averages or Gambler's Fallacy.

You completely misunderstand what I was saying.
Say there's a 5% chance of getting one. If you try 20 times, the chance of getting one the 1st time or the 20th time is still 5%. However, the chance you'll get (at least) one companion in those 20 attempts would be something like 40%. The chance you'll get one on any given attempt doesn't change, but repeated attempts do improve your overall odds.
Basically, keep trying until you get what you want.
