Hitting change character sometimes logs you out

I have many toons so please fix this. It's happened for a long time and it's becoming increasingly frustrating to enter my password 3-10times extra unnecessarily every day. Makes me wish I just botted my leadership/invoking ):

I get this every once in a while, though not often enough I felt I needed to report it.

However, since it's reported, I'll also add this bug:
[BUG]: Character Select screen does not highlight the most previously-played character. Please fix to always auto-highlight the most-recently played character.

The character-select screen has always highlighted (ever since Alpha and Beta) the most recently-played (logged-in) character whenever either loving in for the first time or changing characters. However this issue has appeared since the Fury of the Feywild Mod 1 Patch. What happens now is that the character-select screen seems to auto-highlight either the previously-played character, or the character previously-played two characters ago.

REQUEST: Set the character-select screen to simply move the most-recently played character to the top of the screen, pushing the others downward, the same way it is done in Star Trek Online. This way only the top-most character need be highlighted.

Note: I am using the most current ARC client to launch all Cryptic games, though this issue (if I recall) was happening even before the ARC Client was introduced. Windows 7 w/All current (important) updates.

I'm actually thinking it might be when you hit the button too fast that it's more likely to happen. Maybe even an anti botting feature which would be annoying since bots would just get round that and it just ends up annoying the end user. I experienced it for a while and dealt with but but felt that it'd affect my enjoyment if i had to keep doing it in future.

Also have many characters- still experiencing this problem CONSTANTLY and it's an annoying pain in the HAMSTER$. Seriously- It's like every other 3rd login sometimes at its worst. I find myself wondering too, if it isn't intentional as another mechanism to help combat automated logging/farming. But it's lame. Someone suggested I try turning off on-demand patching in my launcher- no help at all.

for me, it happens all the time, it's been happening a long time. i have a small army of chars and login to each several times daily, and have had plenty of opportunity to try it this way and that.. there is nothing that makes it happen on my end.. it happens when the software or the server makes it happen. it also sometimes works in reverse, i want to log out, and it brings me to character select.

i just got used to it, as there are a ton of things that i'd like to see fixed first, such as when i click refine on 5000 rad and it just tells me i refined 5000 rad, and the actual 5000 just disappears, forever. this also happens very often, on all chars, both accounts, with no notable factors.

sorry no caps.. got a new keyboard on order... are these things -supposed- to be disposable?? hahaha

It happens to me but as a previous poster suggested, it appears to be triggered by hitting "Change Now" immediately. Additionally hitting it while the game is lagging will log you out as well. Wait for the timer to go down to 14 and then hit it. If the timer isn't moving, wait until it starts to count down before hitting the button. This bug has happened to me since Beta - IIRC originally we could only log out and this is probably a carry over from that. Since I started paying attention to the counter, I've only been logged out when I forget to check that the timer is moving.

will try that. i have not paid attention to the timer, but have counted seconds in my head. i do suppose lag could be a factor.
