hey all, im very familiar with the gamw but atill rather new.to.cw pvp. my only question is opressor thau?
i like both group and solo que, thau build with shard in tab, icy, choke/repel and cs seems to dole.out high.dmg
and high cc. while oppressor offers faster chill stacks for more stuns, but offers.leas dmg and armor pen feats,
imo most of the.oppressor.feats are lack luster,

does any one have a solid build or maybe even a hybrid build.with 15 in opressor for the ckld beams stacks and the other 11 in renegade for cirt sev?
also my paragon doesnt seem to matter much, but is the additional smolder.dmg plus crit sev from master of flame better than eyw of the storm?

its def harder to crit now and eye procs alot, but i dont know the stats. also which pcp jewleey do u guys go for?

ps sry for typoa im on phone

the gwf build, no thanks. i mained gf since beta and both fighters are very simple, easy to play classes. im having alot of success as cw currently but always trying to get better. oppressor seems more for node control while thau seems better for roaming, shutti.g down single targets. i wanted to hear some other opinions as the onei just mentioned probably isnt shared by all.

Sorry, that was a rather flip answer. It's just that IV Sent GWF or Perma-Stealth TR are the current OP classes in PVP so if you want real success in PVP, you're not gonna find it with CW.

Even though some classes can beat us 1v1, you can still do very well... I do.

Having said that, I have 10 thaum & 21 rene. I agree with your oppressor assessment, though I've been considering paying around with it & see if the CC is worth it given all the anti-CC from the other classes.

No matter how much cc you spec for it wont make a lick of difference in pvp at least in my experience. I have re specced and repecced and specced again buying tokens and Thaum gives the best Single target dps with AOE as Renegade gives better synergy with crit severity and team buffs from missles.

Thaum I feel is the best for pvp, Oppressor is grim as most the feats are quirky.

Hey all, so i've done some testing and have found that personall i prefer a 21 oppressor 10 rene build, most of the feats i ahve slotted are based around at wills getting increase dmg and ap generation + cold stacking.

I've found that if you're outside of a node hailing some dmg down into a group you can be incredibly effective, when those bruisers and melee notice you oppressor and the right skills slotted alow you to kind of kite these guys, 1 you can handle 2 is mostly just wasting their time away from a capture point.

I run RoF in tab, Choke, repel, and chill strike. With stormspell and eye as class feats. Ice knife and ice storm as dailies. In most cases i can either kite a few players off a node and if my team is behaving they'll cap, or im weakening mitigation all around and chain stunning.

For big groups butting the tornado skill on tab is fun because it can chill whole groups esp with ice storm daily up and a few chill strikes and frost rays.

I still get alot of kills from ray of enfeeblement and frost ray from storm spell procing. My dmg is noticably lower than when i was thaumaturge spec but this keeps me alive and gives me a chance to push and keep people off of caps so i can gleen a few more points that might make all the difference in a close game. Let me know if you guys want more info on my specific build.

Interesting, I like a couple of the Oppressor feats but they lack synergy. Stacking chill all over the place is nice but for what? As Thaum spec I use chill as a multiplier for my heavier damage as well as to slow my targets down some. I just cannot see Oppressor being good enough to lose a lot of damage and offer NO team buffs or NO target Debuffs other than Cold Infusion? Its like a cold based build that offers nothing, gives nothing and allows the CW to escape a little more easier... I'd be curious to see you in combat, as I see the build only helping you with melee as you gain no advantage against other ranged classes.

both of them are tweaked in mod 3. no more perma stealth.

quick reply, freezing any one faster is good . vs a wiz it means u can cast more cc or smg in tthe freeze rime, vs rogue enough time for team to dog pile them, vs gwf, doesnt matter best using all out dmg but u can land repel easier vs a frozen target so time for then. . every one else see the same things i just mentioned. imo all dmg isnt that great because of sml maps, epic moint n short respawn times.better to wasye as much nme time off node as possible if ur getting targeted hard.

GWF has been tweaked and IV Sent will be less OP. No confirmed changes to TR so Perma Bile will still be there.
