Fix matchmaking! the queing system for dungeons is broken to the limit...
1st: Make it compose the group in a proper manner - ie. tank, healer, 3 dps
2nd: Why does it put people in completed dungeons?
Getting put to the same cleared dungeon 10 times in a row, or in a group of 4 rogues is just pure *Badword*, the game is almost unplayable becouse of the broken LFG tool, and from what i remember - it was this way since open beta began. How much more incopetent can these guys get
Whats even worse is that even though people have been reporting that it is broken since the day that Module 2 was released they don't appear to have bothered fixing it in this weeks patch , I hope they have just forgotten to mention it in the notes ...

I'm not bothered about joining a run while there is actually things left to kill in a dungeon and another 4 party members , the queue as it is now puts you into completely empty dungeons either on your own or with only one or two other people and that wouldn't be so bad since normally you could wait for more players to arrive but the queue also splits you up so some players appear at the very start of the empty dungeon and some appear halfway through it , its a total mess right now lol.
For some reason I'm getting really good results with this Queue. A friend, earlier today sent me a tell "Hey, can you help on the Last Boss of CN?" ~ I said: Of Course. I just queued and 30 seconds after I was with them.
Btw, are u gonna spam every place with this?

how is getting placed into an already completed dungeon better than not getting into one at all, or waiting to get a group so you can actually do the dungeon.
It seems like every time I que for ToS (can't manage to find a group with a 10.5k HR) the dungeon has already been cleared. Its irritating.
The queue sistem has improved greatly, the problem now is the stupid people (well the problem is always stupid people) who 4 man the instances kicking everyone who enters, not allowing anyone to enter to that instance via queue until they are done, and the (easy to fix) possibility of entering a dungeon after last boss fight started, as long as those 2 things are fixed (for example not allowing more that 1 vote kick per party and not allowing replacement after boss fight started, 2 easy fixes) will be almost perfect.
Already puts Tank,DC and 3 dps slots, already dropped that need in the skirmishes where any combination is possible (now skirmishes are almost instantaneously filled) instead of complaining help fixing the stuff... KICK IN THE BALLS jerk players.

I played with a HR with GS of 8900 that out damaged a 12k+ TR on ToS. People are simply looking for CWs on ToS because they wanted to glitch last boss. When I was playing my 2nd CW it was very hard to find a decent group to play with: all wanted to glitch the boss (which actually takes much longer than fighting normally with a decent group).

I came to these forums solely to find out more about this. I haven't seen a dungeon that wasn't already completed. Is there anyway to select a fresh run? Because if not this has to be the worst system ever.

The system has issues, to be sure.
The best way to avoid the problems, however. Is to simply form a complete group, and queue up as a team. You will always get a fresh, unbugged, instance this way.

Proof right here HRs need a nerf. But seriously, can people not just want a CW for...I don't know...controlling adds? You know...the things that cause most of the wipes on that last boss? Sick of people complaining about groups wanting CWs because they're useful.

I wait for like an hour plus and then it keeps putting me into dungeons where there's like one or two dudes and / or the instance is already running. I also get this purple wall where I can't enter even though I see people inside the dungeon.
So what do I do now? How do I actually play 5 man dungeons? I'm about to give up on this cause I can't be sitting here waiting all day for nothing to happen.
Kinda saddens me cause I've been really enjoying the game until now

That's like the 90% of the time I queue for any T2 dungeon xD.
It's like 1 of 10 times trying to queue you end up in a real group with things left to kill.
Its true... and its getting worse. When I started this game way back when you could queue up without issues and get in. Sure you'd run into a bad instance every now and then... but these days, its about 90% bad instances to 10% good ones.
Its just a waste of time to even attempt the random queue at present. I can only imagine how Newbies feel trying to get into this.

Ermm, yeah, it's pretty bad.
6 hours in now... I'm giving up. Completely ran out of things to do so all I can do is log out and do something else.
So I take it that unless you have some friends to manually make a group running dungeons is impossible right now? Least that's the impression I have now. Literally been trying to run a dungeon all day but the queue seems to be doing nothing?
Also tried the LFG chat but it seems there's only super epic guys there they're making fun of me asking for like 13k+ on gear score and all kinds of instances I can't do cause I don't have the gear. And I can't get the gear because the queue doesn't seem to work.
This... sucks...

Honestly I think they need to rework that too.
These dungeons often don't require the standard parties. I think they need to redesign the designations to Melee (two for the dungeon either Tank/Rogue or Two GWFs, or GWF/Rogue in two slots (One of those combinations). Then Distance Damagers in the next two slots (Rangers and Mages), Then healers in the last slot.
That way you're not going to have to sit and wait on ONE specific class to fill a party but rather a catagory of class to fill one.
You will need both Melees and Distance attackers in a balanced party as well as a Cleric... So if you were to keep just the general melee/distance ratio you'd easily be able to fill a party and it would or at least have a chance to succeed.

Yeah that's really what's going on right now.
Lfg channel is only looking for the real high end players and experienced players in groups. And if you're not one of those they don't want you.
BUT.. the newbies are never going to gain that kind of gear or experience without at least getting into these dungeons and learning a few things.
So its starting to chase new players away.
I think this one needs an upgraded priority.

Here's a couple of thoughts, play a class that is low in population. Or form a group with other new players? If there are that many waiting around for the queue to pop, could they not just all group together? Or wait around until someone or something else attempts to do the work for you, but I am guessing that's not going to work out to well.

Been playing about month now. When leveling up never had any issues. Queued and when it found five it asked if we were able to join. If someone declined we were put back on queue and could continue questing our own while waiting.
After hitting 60 around last event it has gone to bonkers. If 2/5 decline I still get ported to the instance..why? It is waste of time standing in (often empty) instance and waiting for people to show. So what if it takes and hour to find full group, that is better than what we got now.
Also maybe this is just worst playerbase in history but rarely people say anything or greet others when they join. Plus they just leave middle of run without saying anything. Or then people just rush to the boss without any plan and leave after it surprisingly ends with wipe. I'm used to giving bosses 2-3 tries minimum before throwing in the towel.

That's great but that's but that's not the problem.
That side needed rework from the beginning because the standard Tank + Cleric + DD never worked in this game, not the way the dungeons were designed. SO that needed to be reworked from the beginning. It was an error in the first place. That was just trying to force a square peg in a round hole.
The real problem though is broken instances. Where the party leaves a dungeon prematurely after failing it and people leave. So people join a broken instance that never fills. And its all they can join. SO they never actually get to crawl a real dungeon instance as its always broken.

Dude I've been trying to get people both via LFG and queue all day. Seems getting a group of 5 who aren't in T2 yet is harder than bringing men to Mars... and back.
The queue doesn't do jack because it keeps putting you into borked instances or, better yet, keeps opening instances even though players declined. That one in particular I don't understand. It starts the run despite people declining and then you can't invite people and are forced to wait for someone to queue in, which I haven't seen happening in over 10 hours trying this stuff.
I don't know what exactly is going on with this system and frankly I don't care. The fact of the matter is it doesn't do its job at all.
Maybe it's because I'm playing TR, I don't know. But how was I supposed to know getting a group for a fricken 5 man is so goddamned hard. Had I known I probly would have rolled GF / DC or maybe not started this game at all.
It's a shame since I really would really like to enjoy Neverwinter but I can't because I've been trying to get something going for round about 12 hours now and have three runs to show for it.
This is a serious problem. If the devs don't want newbies to leave this game in droves then they need to do something about this right now cause they for **** sure don't enjoy queing for hours on end while getting ridiculed by 15k+ gs CW/GWF jerks.

And before I whine even more... here's what needs to be done:
1. Provide more information about the current queue. How many players are queued? What's the class breakdown?
2. Don't start runs when people decline. Keep the players who accepted and look for more people. Never put people in an instance unless it completes the group.
3. Allow group invites for parties created via queue. Restrict kicks / votekicks if they cause issues / trolling.
4. Suggest alternative instances of similar difficulty if the queue for the selected one is too small.
5. If there are class restrictions in place, fix them for dungeins that don't necessarily need the classic tank/healer/dps setup.

Didn't know so many instances were jacked up. Every since the open beta I know TRs have had issues getting into dungeon from the sheer number of DPS classes compared to support eg. Gf and dcs. The restriction of needing a gf should be removed since gwfs have replaced em mostly do to aoe damage. Till the lfg tool does get fixed, there is a channel nw_legit or something like that maybe can be explored to find a party. As someone pointed out, for long time no one could join an instance after the first boss was killed. People wanted this changed and got their wish, but seems this fix brought new issues to the table.
If the queue pops up with one or more red X's already, that's a long standing bug that predates Mod2 and the current problem with being unable to get a fresh instance. It's not that people are declining. If you decline the queue and re-enter it, most likely when it pops those X's will be there again.

But it still doesn't help the newbies who have no clue where to find it, but would know where to find the button to "join queue".

Yeah well i have been waiting for 2 days now to join an instance.. i managed to join one but the dungeon was bugged (cloak tower last boss wall not dissapearing) when i got to level 60 the game is soo boring just sitting and waiting for the **** queue system to work but all i seem to join are empty dungeons or finnsihed. i played this game way back from open beta then the queu system was much better than this <font color="orange">HAMSTER</font>..sry but it seems this game is not even worth my time.. when i cant even get one t1 item in 2 days of constant waiting for groups..
Well, the cause of this is that people complained that they couldn't invite to dungeons if one player happened to leave, disconnect, whatever.
I guess they couldn't make it so you could manually invite, so they just allowed the queue to add replacements after the first boss was defeated. This opened the door for dungeon hijackers and the queue system no longer working as it should for solo players.
Remove the priority queue for tanks, 4 DPS and a DC should be good for a lot of dungeons. Most are just a DPS check (Control Wizard check).

I always end up in a group of 3, including myself, when I use the queue system.
Then, sometimes 1 person will join in but it never hits 5 (full group).
Then, after some time, 1 or 2 will leave the party and then, everyone will leave and then, I requeue for dungeons again.
I had to buy all my T1 gear on the AH since getting into dungeons isn't possible for me with the queue system.
Now, I'm at a point where I'm considering just finishing the campaigns and ignoring getting the T2s before focusing fully on the Foundry.
