I am a huge fan of the forgotten realms (not as far as the table top games go, but as far as novels and video games go), and I find Neverwinter quite interesting with the way fighting goes, and the voice overs truly spice things up. In fact sometimes it feels like Star Wars The old Republic in Forgotten Realms. There are a few things that in my opinion have to be added, and I truly think the developers should look at this topic, as well as the respective players.
First of all - the story. Running around Dungeons from time to time might get repetitive, and the one thing to spice it up would be some extra stuff. I really like how we can find lore along the way, but wouldn't it be more interesting, to say meet up with an NPC, and using the fantastic idea of voice overs introduce players to new lore, where we can talk to an NPC and learn new bits of lore in a conversation. In fact I think the interaction menu is neat, but we should personalize it more like a dialog.
Second of all - alignments. Forgotten Realms wouldn't be what it is without alignments. May be during the above mentioned conversations we would make a choice that would move us as far as alignments go, make us more chaotic evil, or lawful good, etc.
What does everyone think? At least the story and the conversation part of the game should not be that hard to fix in this game!
Thing is, alignments don't really exist in 4th edition. One of several things I found distasteful about it. Basically how your character acts is his alignment. Would have been neat to have some of the evil gods in the diety selection though.
I would love iconic figures giving 'swtor' style lore interactions. Just bear in mind this game is like 100 years past most of the novels. So most of the iconic characters are dead. Most.
I wish this game gave more of a storyline. I suggested more story awhile back and was told "That's what the lore journal's for". I find it tedious to do so much reading to find out why you're doing what you're doing...
I think they need to add a working foundry. It's still sooo glitchy, and I haven't seen an update for it in a long while.

Indeed, a lot are dead, but we do have some other NPC's that seem to start getting iconic, so they can always add in a few new ones. I definitely agree about the evil gods. Also, could you imagine, say meeting a ghost of one of those characters? Erevis Cale would be an awesome character to meet, in any shape or form (and I am on Erevis Cale trilogy book 2 now, so please no spoilers), or seeing Amon Jero or Elanee as a ghost would be totally awesome too! There are a lot of opportunities still in my opinion. Obviously Star Trek Online sometimes recruits some of famous Star Trek people for voice overs, I am sure pulling some one from the old NWN2 cast might be even easier. I would also love to travel to other planes (in Neverdeath we actually had to go to Shadowfell in one of the missions) like Fugue Plane and meeting Kelemvor or even Jergal would be neat. Eh, I am going into my Faerun nerd mode now...

things to be added -> Proxy for South America(in Brazil). 20%+ of players are from south america.

You remind me of the peeps that ask in chat "how does Gauntlegrym work?" and if tell them to talk to the NPC for that information they return rude remarks about the profession of my mother any my questionable father.
Not considering that they have to read anyway, be it my typing or the text from the GG NPCs.

I see nothing bad about the lore journals, I just think that it would be better to add some NPC's that would actually interact with the player. Give it some more life, stuff like that. Honestly I enjoyed the Neverdeath storyline. Like when you walk through the cemetery and suddenly find a phylactery and a lich is asking you to find him a resting place. It almost felt like a side quest, because I was actually on another quest at the time. I also would love it if there was some interaction in these little side quests, and of course interaction about the lore, and then all of the lore collected would be added into the lore journal. Now this would make the game much more fun!
On one hand: I could not disagree more. NWO is to swtor what the flintstones are to Shakespeare. And I'm not a fan of Shakespeare. What is great about NWO, to me, is just how over the top pastiche it is as a setting and a game, from the voice acting that sounds like they grabbed Betty the receptionist and made her read some lines, to the outrageously unbalanced classes, powers, and generally zany game mechanics. NWO most definitely does not take its self too seriously.
On the other hand: The whole story-line, imo, gets much better as an actual story towards the very end, in terms of how it is presented. Most of the story seems to be told by voice acted npcs talking to other npcs. You CAN read a lot of the lore, but you can also get the story pretty in depth through the npcs.
Considering the leveling process takes 2-3 days, I'd rather they continue doing what they're doing, which is focusing on new endgame content (like Icewind Dale).
Only I wish they'd push it out faster- mainly because I'd like to PVP without dealing with foxshift-spamming HRs taking half your health with one ability they can spam and don't have to aim.
I'm pretty sure they went with the Lore journal entries instead of NPC expo dumps is because a large percentage of players would just skip them anyway or else complain that they couldn't skip them. I like the lore but even so, I usually go back and read it after the fact because I don't want to stop questing to read, especially when in groups or in areas where mobs respawn.
