1. Healer
2. Dps
3. Buff/Debuffer
4. Node Capping/ Defending sent
5. NAH! JUST PLACE YOUR BLUE SHIELD AND GET LOST!!
6. DON'T EVER GET INTO PVP!!!!

I played quite a sum of matches as a healer, sometimes (very rare) i was under-performed till my allies are dead. They simply yell and insulting me for not keeping them alive (they are HRs, focused heavily by whole opposite team, no other classes complained abt me before). I just want to tell that cleric cannot help much if your hp bar goes down in seconds, and gs are irrelevant for pvp clerics, what we need is defense, deflect, hp and regen. As long as we reach the minimum target, you better not to insult clerics with low gs, not to mention some of us using T1 HP set for debuff, we got LOW GS !!!
I am 12k gs cleric who mostly playing in 15k gs matches, as a healer without astral shield.

Some situation you shouldn't blame the cleric for not healing or keeping you alive.
1. Your team doesn't do backcapping or basecapping for minutes, your cleric run away from battle to do so.
2. Your cleric using other skillset for their specific/special role (debuff/dps/tank/burst heal).
3. You are too squishy and die before clerics full HoT heals.
4. Your cleric heal the tanks, ignoring the squishies who includes you.
5. Your cleric is kiting the most threatening GWF(s), no time to heal you.
6. Your cleric has a lower gs (2k range is still acceptable, i met 7k cleric in high gs pvp, wonder how they get in??)
7. Your cleric spammed all his skill to keep you alive but when all skills are in cd, you are dead.
8. You provide no support to your cleric as a teammate, he is cc-ed, proned and killed, or zerging here and there failed to heal you.
9. Your cleric is not using astral shield but using other encounters which provide significant changes to team combat.

The only thing I expect of any cleric, really, my vote aside, is to stay on node(preferably 2) with teammates and provide healing, and debuff/buffs you may have brought along, if any.
The rest is just extras, simply doing that, even if you get spammed down every once in a while, grants that node a high measure of sustained dominance for your team. These HR's you speak of are quite simply horrible, yet common, out for the kills, not for the win.

People who insult-harass other players are usually like rage drivers or hooligan fans, they are not suitable for social behaviour and are a cancer for society, just ignore them.

I chose heal. Buff/debuff would be close behind. I'm a GF, so if you keep me alive I will keep you alive and we will own mid.
PSA: You don't need to grind Spinward Rise for your Elemental artifact main hand if you have some AD lying around. You can craft it via the Tyranny of Dragon's campaign screen.

Almost every insult Ive earned on my DC is via a HR, I dont totally blame them however, but if alot do not know the common buff/debuff/heal systems of Clerics then its hard for them to understand. We are synergized within a tight radius around us for the most part, if we are standing at mid-2 to heal, the full effect of our buffs/heals are going to go to those around us, we have to specifically choose to heal a HR by slotting Healing Word , at the same time, turning around and throwing one to you may not be the wisest decision.

Hrs can choose to play any way they want, just realize you will not be a high priority item on most DC's list to keep up or buff if you stay so far away.

Please also realize with the changes to post patch pvp, a single cleric is going to have a hard time holding node 2, they are no longer as self sustaining as they once were. I usually spend the majority of my time there, but If I see home being attacked or no one pressing 3, Im going to those to help, usually If the DC starts moving for backcapping it helps prompt others to move as well.

Thats never my first choice, but hey, many people roll into the matches thinking kills are worth something and just troll around the map and not bother with stepping on a node , unless its a accident!

To silver, you forget those snipers on second floor of map or on pillar, they simply ignore the red node beside them cuz they dont want to die, if they die, it is cleric's fault again...

I do slot HW, but some melee HRs wants me to slot astral shield which is not my liking, i rather do some high crit burst healing with my vorpal (AS cannot crit).

I am a selfish person, if no one cap any base, i will ignore mid and go 1 and 3, because i want to win the game, not win the battle at mid.

    1. survive as much as possible, good timing dodges with knock back make a lot off diference.invest in stamina...
2.heal but with some order.i played many times in pug with dc friend and he was healing mostly me. that always went good coz if im alive im doing some dmg.what im trying to say no point healing someone if he dies all the time heal the best players with best gear not the worst .good player does great with a little healing bad doesnt even nothice it.

Heal, a little buffing, and being a bit tanky while staying on the node

If it is so easy, then i already am a good cleric.... but indeed, i have a lot of space for improvement, especially gears...

DC's for me can make or break the game in node 2 with their additional heals and defensive buffs. Sents + DC in node 2 are an absolute nightmare. I just ask my allies to let me keep contesting node 2 by myself while they cap the other bases whenever this happens. This way the other nodes would be contested because Sent GWF + DC in node 2 = dead teammates more often than not, specially if your team does not have a DC to back up your own tanks. The opponents would have to split up if I manage to keep them there long enough.

The HR who was insulting you was either built terribly (because HR's tend to be pretty tanky themselves), or he's trying to face tank a group of CC spammers thinking he can rambo Split Shot them to death. There are no real solutions to those sort of situations. I'd say support him even less and give support to someone else who'd better benefit the team. He's pulling down the team anyway and the problem doesn't seem to be on your side as you seem to be quite the experienced DC, Jazzfong.

    Your role is:

    - healing (yes, you can still heal, it's not awesome, yet possible). But it has to be done as needed. What do I mean? If I'm back capping on my TR and getting low, switch from where you are (yes it requires communication) and come throw me some heals.
    - node contesting. You're supposed to be as tanky as they get. Preferably halfling as well for increased CC resistance, since CC is the bane of all DCs.
    - find good matches on the map. The enemy team has a pro TR that nobody can contest against? Go stall him down. Is it maybe a GWF? Even better. Stall them down until help arrives. Sometimes even follow them around the map. Don't go solo against good CWs. You gonna die - it's not your thing.

If you really wanna see how this is done properly, I recommend watching Rek/velynna from Choco Shoppe. She is an awesome DC an can turn around matches EASILY. I've heard so many enemies frustrated to tears in voice chat by her heals and contesting.

DC is a great class - if played correctly.

I never use astral shield, your enemies leave it 100% of the time....
Or the area will make much easier for enemies target your allies...

So many problem in pug pvp. Now i am finding a good pvp guild for normal premades (preferably luskan and i dislike synergy), the pug "sometimes" know what to do but most of the time after u died once or twice u know u should afk.

Edit: New synergy is ok, but i was once bullied by old synergy and flamed when i pug months ago, which gives me a bad image of synergy. No problem for anyone to join synergy, and i apologize for any misunderstanding and inconvenience caused because of my immature speech.
