End game sets for Archers

I finally finished the boons, so it's time I turned my attention to my absolutely abysmal gear score. What are archery speced Rangers using these days? I'd love to know more than just sets too, what are you using for rings, belts, amulets, etc. What kinds of active companions do you find most useful? Artifacts? I know that eventually I'll want my enchantments all rank 10, but are there any of the non-standard enchantments that are particularly useful? How about weapon and armor enchantments (if I ever can get my hands on a coalescent ward)?

I'm especially interested in anything I can get through adventuring and dungeon delves rather than AD or zen. Eventually I'll probably buy stuff from the zen store, just not right away.

I have a pretty good idea of my target stats, so I don't really need advice there.

Since I know it plays a factor into what people choose, I am a fully archery speced Ranger with a focus on DPS. I tend to party with my husband and guidies, and I only rarely pug for skirmishes and events. I do not PvP at all and have no interest in going that route.

I already have a get-by set, so I'm looking for recommendations on only what the ultimate goal should be. I'm hoping to get as much of my end game gear in place before the changes to the class go live.

Royal Guard for the CD reduction on encounters, dailies.
    Why Royal Guard?
-Caps Armor penetration with minimun Str investment.
-Has the best 4/4 bonus for Archer Pve.
-It's not very expensive compared to High vizier/Avator of War.
-Combined with plague fire the cooldown reduction is massive as the triple DoT+hit+splitshot will make "Flurry of Blows"(4/4 bonus:30% CD reduction, no internal CD) procs really often.
-Synergizes extremely well with Thron, Rain of Arrows and Split the sky. (you will probably have x2 thorns up 70% of the time)

As for pets, i dont know that much, but there is a guide for HR pets around this subforum.

That does sound nice. I have a moderately high Strength so I could actually respec ability points into Con instead, which is what I planned.

I'm leaning toward the plague fire enchantment mostly for the look. Blue fire is kinda my theme. Nice to know it won't be completely useless. :)

me personally, none of the 4/4 sets really appealed to me, so i'm going 2/4 Grand warden and 2/4 Dread legion

stats from just those 4 pieces:

    Power: 1289
    Crit: 993+900(set bonuses)= 1893
    ArP: 898
    Recovery: 322
    Defense: 782
    Lifesteal: 280

and that's just Helm, Gloves, Boots and Armor

add in Belt, rings, Neck, main- and off-hand weapons, and a Stone, and your hitting soft caps in several stats at once

EDIT: and looking at Royal Guard I remembered why I decided against it: WAY too much ArP and ZERO Crit on it

That's part of why I started this thread. None of the 4/4 set bonuses look particularly appealing. What are you using for belt, rings, and neck?

Also are the weaponsmithing specific epic weapons using the fragments from Dread Ring and Sharandar worth working for? I've not worked on the weaponsmithing profession at all.

Pegasus rings +478 crit each to compensate, and Yes Fallen dragon weapons are really worth it.

^ Thank you. I'd forgotten about the seal vendors, a Ring of the Pegasus will do nicely.

Only for PVE and high DPS !

Max WIS+DEX and Blue items with high power+enchant with power/need + good party ofc (because you will die easy if you do not have it).
    So 35-40% crit rate + 8-10k power.
    Archer build of course.
    Epic bow+dagger.

I already have a very good blue/T1 set for getting by, and I know what stat targets to aim for. What I'm looking for in this thread are what specific epic items work especially well for PvE archers.

Thanks, heiltdo1, for mentioning the Pegasus rings. I've not even looked at the seal vendors in a long time and I've got a huge pile of seals. I can buy a Pegasus ring right now. :) I'm going to also start looking for the bow fragments on the AH, even though it will be a long long time before I can craft it. The limb fragments are really cheap right now.

I'm running 2 Grand Warden, 2 Profound Archer, Fomorian weapons, and pvp gear in the other 4 slots.

    3400 power
    2700 crit
    2700 arpen
    2400 defense
    1000 LS/recovery
    1800 regen
    1600 deflect

my stone is geared with nothing but power/HP...

The new Black Ice armor is REALLY going to make some big changes to gear loadouts. They're much heavier on the defensive stats, which is a flip from our current options. I would hold off on any big jewel pieces or enchantment purchases until you have an opportunity to see the new gear.
