So, DC have three new black ice stuff (armor+weapon) and once again three stuff full of Life Steal.
Just why ?
What do you really want from us ? forget our healing spell (-40%) and to try to survive with our fantastic dps (the pvp open area is not a good place for an alone cleric ^^).

with endless consumption i can pretty much heal myself with life-steal for 5k per sunburst and 500 per astral seal. it's pretty much my method of getting past righteousness since our heals were never that effective for ourselves.

Sadly, the only real direction we seem to be getting to the DC class is GO away. None of the moves make sense, other then making a fodder class for the others to trash.
sometimes I feel Im a glorified pet companion to my teamates, since we serve very little purpose on the battlefield right now.

I am starting to lean toward lifesteal on my crit based orc. 40% crit chance and p.vorp. In a well equipped party i can afford to use divine glow and sometimes daunting light.. tends to kick back a lot of LS.
Most clerics wear High Prophet, a T1 set. All the original T2s are bugged. Cleric gear from modules 1, 2, and now 3 are junk. Why are they trolling us with the lifesteal? Can we petition for this to be fixed before it gets released?
Notes:
I've multipled max HP by a factor of 4 because it's currently bugged and devs said they'll fixed in next build.
Devs also mentioned there's too much Tenacity on items currently and it will be reduced substantially
Sets are still work in progress and can change. I also might have made errors in transcription.
Sets need to be crafted using Black Ice profession rank 3 (need to unlock via Icewind Dale Campaign). Currently require ~3000 processed Black Ice per piece
Empowering sets with black ice will further boost their stats by as much as 36% (based on info here). Empowerment will slowly decay when sets are used in combat. I have no idea whether the stats listed below are at basic empowerment or max empowerment.
I didn't copy set bonus verbatim but paraphrased as appropriate. Check tooltips in game to be sure.
Corrupt Weapon set: (Weapon and Icon) 2 piece bonus- when dealing damage chance to deal 2500 damage to foe
677-827 Damage
14% Black Ice damage resist
1824 Power, 225 Crit, 405 Recovery, 225 ArP, 175 Defense, 315 Regen, 840 Tenacity
Total GS excl Tenacity/movement: 3169
Purified Weapon set: (Weapon and Icon) 2 piece bonus- when dealing damage you have a chance to heal for 1200 plus a heal over time that increase with number of allies in proximity
677-827 Damage
14% Black Ice damage resist
1734 Power, 175 Recovery, 2520 max HP, 225 Defense, 405 Regen, 840 Tenacity
Total GS excl Tenacity/movement: 3169
Corrupt Armor set- 4 piece bonus: Gain 80 power per second for 22s. For the last 10s you also gain 15% move speed
12 AC
35% Black Ice damage resist
1035 Power, 810 crit, 1035 Recovery, 4480 HP, 1032 Defense, 315 Regen, 2460 Tenacity, 810 Movement
Total GS excl Tenacity/ Movement 5347
Purified Armor set-4 piece bonus: On taking damage you have a chance to be shielded for 800 incoming damage every 3 seconds for 15 seconds. If the shield is unbroken you are healed instead for 600 hp.
12 AC
35% Black Ice damage resist
315 Power, 630 recovery, 2520 Max HP, 2473 Defense, 1300 Deflect, 810 Regen, 2460 Tenacity
Total GS excl Tenacity/Movement 6150
I think currently all sets offer the same bonus for all classes but might change later.
Armor bonuses aren't that enticing but I think they are playing it safe rather than have something too OP.
Overall sets offer more diversified stats for you to build around which offers more balance if you don't like overstacking stats. Also offer options for you to pick and choose custom stats if that's you thing as each piece offer different stat combinations.
The black ice damage resist is not to be overlooked either. Currently black ice damage bypass normal damage resistance and deal full damage to you. In Dwarven valley can comprise of 25% or more of total incoming damage.

Please don't spew out erroneous information.
I would guess that drastically less than 50% of the cleric comunity uses HP since there are a lot of reasons not to use it depending on your gear level and other players you run with, plus it's only useful for PVE. The sharandar set is amazing depending on what you want from your armor and MH set is most certainly not bugged

Though HP is a great set, I also use MH alot, I find both of them handy, I simply never bothered with sharandar but the set bonus isnt bad either. Those are probably the 3 best in terms of pve.
I use profound for pvp. The divinity bonus is actually very useful, to bad the rest of the stats are meh =P.. Lots of time to grind that really, but giving the randomness of the t2 drops, you could get your t2 in one try or 30.. so it could take just as long.
In terms of the rest of the sets, there is a reason most DCs use those 3 probably, I did see a DC rocking dread legion for PVP today.. Dont know why really.

Nothing wrong with HP at all. I have it and use it for all my solo stuff and sometimes in dungeons, and of course on bosses. MH is amazing for both PVE and PVP, it's what I currently use in PVP. T2 sets really aren't that hard to get since you get to pick which set you want on the DD chest drops. Sharandar set I got a while back and I don't use it much but it's comparable to MH for healing over the length of a run, plus the stats are slightly better and it's easy to be overcapping recovery so even though the apen doesn't do that much it's not bad. It would of been even better back when I ran LS and you could simply proc via SB and then Tab.

What stats do you dislike? And about which profound set are you talking about?

I like the look of that weapon set. It's got a nice bonus, compared to just the power. The weapons are always the most expensive, but it looks like that would be a good way for me to get my black ice gear, seeing as I'm working hard at unlocking my profound set right now.
Seems like a waste to work so hard to unlock it only to have the black ice gear come out not too long from now. Ah well.

Ive thought the same thing, its actual alot of time grinding to get the 4/4 armour pieces, just to junk them a couple months later.

Well the black ice gear is supposed to take significantly more time to farm than the profound gear did so I imagine it will be quite usefull for quite some time
beh so sad about the new sets bonuses! charac are good but that's the only point!

Can someone walk me through how the effects work on black ice?
So you farm black ice to increase bonus on the effects?
Will black ice equipment basically be mandatory to run all events, pve and pvp? You will also have to spend most of the free time farming the black ice?
