Hello everyone, i am new at this game, i just made my Drow Trickster Rogue.
I am now level 22, i am leveling Leadership, Weaponsmithing and Leatherworking Professions, Leadership until 3 so that i can unlock the second prof slot, is what im doing correct?
I am really liking this game so far, i love how everything is voice-acted, love the pace of the leveling and the race design.
I also love how this game is free to play with no HAMSTER DLC packs like other free-to-play games like to make, by DLC packs i mean locking away content such as races behind DLC.
I have a couple of questions:
What can i do wityh Astral Diamonds? I got like 6k from an event.
I am going for Power, Critical Strike and Armor Penetration for my Rogue, is this good?
Anything i should know regarding the game or Rogues in general?
I recently joined that level 22 dungeon thats available, the Craigsomething, it was a looong dungeon, i was brought up to level 24 somehow for the dungeon, we had another lvl 28 player, lvl 26, and 2 more 24s, during the last boss, i had to aggro everything that wasnt the boss to prevent us from getting wiped, my teammates were getting hammered by the boss and werent very healthy, so i had to run around the boss room like an idiot running away from the 5+ elites chasing me and casting stuff at me as well as revive the player who died(came really close to dying while reviving him), it felt really good knowing that i carried my team on my back back there even though i was one of the lowest level players there, i was also surprised by how i dealt the most damage out of all players in the instance, i thought my DPS sucked.
This was a very epic expirience for me thats why i shared it.
Anyway, i hope this game continues with its current F2P model along with its storytelling.
Peace out.

Power Crit and ArPen are your primary focus, but you need to put something into protecting yourself too. TR's have 75% Deflection severity, and you should take advantage of that at least some. HP are important, but a little defense is good too. (Also, you will be doing lots of damage, so lifesteal wouldn't be a total waste on you.)
While leveling, I can't say I ever worried so much about defense though, I focused on killing them before they could kill me.
Don't worry about much of anything while leveling, I guess, it will all be different later.. except, if you read some good guides that explain the powers, feats and all, you can plan out your build some while leveling and maybe spare yourself having to respec. There are lots of good guides out there, and it is important to understand what works as advertised and what doesn't, and what synergizes with what else...
In here you will get people giving you advice that might be great if your playstyle matches theirs. But from a lot of different playstyles that will get confusing.
Anyway, I'm no expert on anything, just thought I'd give a couple bits of info that might help. Welcome to the game.

It seems like you are off on a pretty good start. But Ill try to answer what questions I can.
First off Astral Diamonds are really the primary currency of the game. Gold has its uses, but its fairly limited. AD use in the auction house and it can be converted to Zen. Basically AD lets you earn cash items through in game grinding. If you want something NOW! You can pay cash for it. If you have the time to grind out AD you can play completely free, it will simply take longer.
You ability to earn AD is fairly limited at lower levels, it gets easier the closer you get to 60.
You initial stat choices seem pretty solid, just don't neglect deflect it can increase your survivability greatly. For detailed rogue advice, its best to visit the rogues class section in the forums.
Dungeons, like the one you mentioned, can be fun. They start to get a bit harder as you level. They can be very fun or extremely frustrating, depending on your group. The absolute best advice available is to try to form a group before entering rather then depending solely on the queue. You will generally get a better group and can avoid unfinished or glitched instances. Its also worth trying Skirmishes, the are generally easier, faster, group missions and a good way to get a feel for your characters role in a group setting without all the pressure or hassle of a full dungeon. They are also the only content you can miss. If you out level a Skirmish there is really no practical way to go back to do it again. It can be frustrating for accolade hunters.
In general, think of the currencies like this:
a. Gold is used for the basic necessities - simple weapons, armor, potions, skill kits, etc.
b. Astral Diamonds, (AD), are sort of a luxury/epic currency, used to buy things on the auction house, (AH), from the wondrous bazaar, and to convert into Zen via the astral diamond exchange.
Speaking for most characters, if you want to deal good damage, crit and armor penetration are must-haves. Power you pretty much always get from gear, no matter that class you're playing, and things like recovery, defense, deflection, lifesteal, and regeneration can be geared for as needed.
Regarding leveling up - personally, I don't bother with the regular dungeons or skirmishes. They may help you get some better gear early on, but the levels can speed by fast enough, that the little advantage they give you soon disappears. I find that many quests can reward you with decent gear, and quest XP is where the bulk of it comes from, so that's what I tend to focus on.
Additional notes:
Leadership is, IMO, the best profession. It can provide you with XP, ADs, gold, potions, enchantments, refining stone, and skill kits. It is, however, also the slowest to level up. The crafting professions are really only good for the shirts and pants they can produce - you really can't get them anywhere else, (except the AH, which are being sold by other players). In the long run, leadership is the way to go.
Personally, I just had to give every class a go. To that end, I found buying more character slots and a purple mount the way to go. Not only do additional character slots provide you with more storage space, (that becomes an issue later on), but they allow you to run more profession tasks simultaneously. Since Zen store mounts are account wide, (meaning you can claim one for every character you ever make), they become an even better value the more characters you have.

I want to respec my powers but i cant.
You can respec your feats for ADs, but to respec your powers and such, you need a respec token from the Zen store.

I guess every free to play game has to have something HAMSTER in it for them to make cash, but talents and powers? Come on...
If every free to play game had the F2P model of Path of Exile(These guys didnt even have any big companies backing them up) or DotA id be a much happier man.
So what difference does it make if you buy re-spec directly or convert first.
No new/casual player has any chance of affording to pay whatever AD to Zen conversion amount(Which im sure is a ton because Zen is a cash shop) is in order to do a basic respec.
At the current rate of 408 ADs per 1 Zen, that would mean it'd cost about 122K ADs to buy a retrain token. If all you did was invoke the 3x per day to get the ADs, that means it'd take you about 2 months to save up enough for a retrain token. Obviously, if you run leadership tasks, skirmish events, and sell or salvage unwanted epic items, you could reduce that time dramatically - all without spending a dime. But, hey, if you can't or don't want to wait, drop the $3 and retrain now... doesn't really seem like such a bad system to me. Heck, even in games where there is a monthly subscription, it's not like they allow you to respec in an unlimited fashion, anyway.

World of Warcraft has very cheap respecs and you can choose what to respec.
Its not bad from an expirienced players perspective, but how many new/casual players are going to get that amount and how fast? And some people dont have money(not even 5 euro which is 500 zen) or credit cards.
My point is respecs should be affordable in-game at a relatively small in-game gold or a much smaller AD price to encourage experimentation and to allow freedom, new players dont know that if you get talents you are stuck with them until you pay real cash or farm an astronomical amount of AD.
I didnt know that talents couldnt be reset with in-game gold, thats why i didnt care much and i experimented, if i knew that talents couldnt be reset easily i would have researched first on the build that i liked or maximized DPS.
You get enough points over the course of leveling up to take at least one point in each power, so you can certainly try every power out, and then devote later points to the skills that you actually find useful. Regardless, what one person may consider affordable, another may consider too expensive, so it's hard to judge. Two months of very light play, in order to totally respec a character, doesn't seem too bad to me, and as I pointed out, that's just from invoking. If a player does feel that they need that respec sooner, and forking over the cash isn't an option - then just take any of the other steps I pointed out to expedite the process.

By that same logic no new or casual player will end up so badly gimped by their choices to feel the need to be forced to respec. Respec'ing before you hit 60 is pretty much a complete waste, as leveling is extremely fast. And its hard to really know a build while you are still adding powers. And if you wait until you do hit 60, your ability to earn AD increases to the point that the cost of a respec is much easier to bear.
Is it true that you get enough Ability Points to put 3 in everything? If thats the case then i wont have to worry.
I also heard that theres a limit to how many ADs you can refine per day?
I am really really worried and its causing me to see things very negatively.
You can refine 24,000 rough astral diamonds a day. That won't be an issue until you have rank 20 leadership and start running t2 dungeons, or if you run t2s all the time (without leadership.)
And I'll restate that you honestly can't gimp you character to an unplayable state while leveling. Yes, you can make poor choices. Yes, you can make yourself less effective. Yes, there is a learning curve. But you simply can not make your self unplayable. The game is simple enough that you can successfully solo to 60, no matter your choices. You are honestly over stressing on this. Get to 60 then worry about a respec.
It's impossible to attain Rank 3 in every power, but the amount of Ability Points should be enough to max out those which you would be using often.
Surprisingly, the "Respec Feats" option also resets the boons other than the feats.
Ill only need 1 respec? Ohh wow i thought id need like 2-3.
D.amn.
I was referring mainly to this post ^
The Zen token is most of the time is very close to the price of the Feat respec that costs ~80k at level60.
And when there is a sale it is even cheaper.
And most of the time it's the feats you want to change to try and test as most powers will be available to you.
Though i do agree that a lower cost will make testing/experimenting more affordable and more available.
Some use the test server to test stuff out (you can copy chars there and do whatever you like -free)
Imo you dont need to worry about it at all, when you reached the understanding of what you want from the build and what changes you want to try you will have the AD to pay for it. So for now, imo, just spec what you feel is right for you and your game stye and worry about changes later.
Go to Rhix, trade the Planar Idols for Astral Resonators. (1:1)
Double click on the Astral Resonator, go the indicated spot on the minimap, then press F on the rift.
It should be about 40-50K refined Astral Diamonds for each.
Wow, i may have gotten real lucky there to get my hands on those Idols, the respec token will be easy to get now.
