Hidden stat?

I have noticed something rather weird while lvling up my TR.
It seems that mt TR char is more lucky than the others, and by far more lucky that my main (CW)..
I have noticed that i get more rare (blue) drops, more tymora's gifts (drops) and better rewards from opening boxes and tymora's gifts..
So, is just me being lucky with this char or is there some hidden 'LUCK" stat for TRs??

Most likely just RNG, but the game might use pseudo-random 'seeds' in the process for determining drops. This has been known to mess things up in other MMOs.

I have thought this could be a possibility , my CW has awful luck with RNG while my GWF and HR on a different account have much better luck , I'm talking about the Arcane coffer artifact and event box star prizes as well as armor and weapon drops and crafting results and even down to node failures lol , I'd love to know if there is anything to this because if there is then I'm certain it is broken but I doubt very much they would ever be willing to tell us stuff like this.

this reminds me of the CTA event that gave the swashbuckler, my mage, HR, TR, and GF took 50 runs to find a swashbuckler, my GWF found 1 every other run. after 20 runs i had about 15 on that character. makes me wonder if certain events or event drops are ment for 1 character over the others

Having played Asheron's Call for years when it came out, this brought a huge smile to my face.

    Thanks!

Once upon a time, one of the first mmorpgs implemented some sort of hidden stat. This was inserted into the random number generators. The reason was to prevent every player from farming certain monsters to obtain a desired item. The fact it helped to promote player interaction for trading sort of counterbalanced several side effects and long term consequences. So Player A would have better chances from obtaining certain items from loot table X and player B would have better chances from obtaining them from loot table Y.

But the fiasco was incorporated into later mmorpgs, just because it was like that on the past. And this "design aspect" has since featured on many other mmorpgs despite them having non-tradeable items, event dropped items or even not requiring player interaction for trades due to action house features.

But I can't say Neverwinter is one of those games, but since companies often chose employees with some previous experience...

Lol just read that about AC, it seems it was also one of those that copied the feature!!! Using any char creation, account id, name or whatever for random rolls leads to several sorts of problems.

That is an awesome example of the broken use of RNG.

It is just so easy for everyone to say it's just luck, it's just RNG.

At the end of the day, legislation is coming such that the departments that oversees Casino's will be getting involved in any of these games with real $ for gambling rewards and will require games to post the odds AND prove that the results are falling within the posted limits.
