New mail goes to top while other mail is open

Issue: While reading top mail item, new mail item comes in on top.

This may seem not a big issue but it has very negative effects as it happened to me just now. I opened my mail and on top was from a spammer. I clicked on it and was clicking Report Spam. A split second before I actually clicked, a new mail comes in, it was from AH. I was mortified as the click went through. I looked at my AH items and it was my Royal Guard gauntlet that I was selling for 384K AD. So the spam I was suppose to be reporting stayed and my mail with 384K AD got deleted. I put a ticket request to undelete my mail with AD, hopefully they will undelete it, if not, spammers just cost me big time. Also, I think it should be a bug to have Report Spam enabled on AH. There should be a protection for accidental clicks like these. They should either make the button grayed out when a mail from AH come in or do nothing to the mail and display an error message stating cannot report spam to system/npc mail.

So pissed right about now....

    It's a well known issue that has made it through many patches, and it is still unfixed... I've lost some stuff too... I hope the support can get your mail/AD back! :/

    Same thing happened to me twice now. Not sure if there is a way to avoid it!!! They only returned 50,000 ad of the 150000 ad I lost the first time and said "this is a one time deal!!!!! Therefore this time I am out 140000 ad. Such HAMSTER, this is THEIR bug that THEY HAVE NOT FIXED, even though it's been reported forever! At least refund the players items/ad! WHY IS THIS NOT FIXED YET! My husband and I have spent a LOT of money on this game but I refuse to put one more penny in until the do right by their players!

    Yep, happened to me too but a long time ago. Still waiting for a mailbox overhaul. The current system sucks and any mail is very vulnerable to deletion when new mail comes in.
    I suggested an idea: a click box next to each mail. Not only is it safe it is quicker than deleting mail one by one. Hitting delete and confirming it without any mail checked will have no mail deleted, even if you have a mail highlighted.
    And of course a check all button for those who dabble with the auction house frequently has also been suggested. I would advise caution since some people like to transfer items or store items via mail and one mistake of not unclicking certain mails could cause you to lose more than you'd expect.

    Still no response from customer support on my AD. You would think they would fix this issue since it's been well known apparently. To top it off, there's been a few that went forward to CSR about it. Seems like a breakdown between the CSR and the dev's. The CSRs should be up channeling issues like these. It's sad to see a bug like this exist and it's so easy to fix, but no, we should just let the players/customers suffer. A simple if statement on the code that checks if the mail if from NPC or system then it greys/disables the report spam button or maybe a confirmation box. Sigh. I am with you, jesttic01, I have been spending money on this game and with this, if I don't get my AD back, I will definitely never spending again. Perhaps even look to move to a different game altogether since to me that shows no care for paying players. ESO is coming up, might be an alternative....

    Why not give us a trash bin if they don't want to do other alternatives so I can come back and undelete it myself.....
