any tips? man they are annoying...

please, something other than "get better gear". I don't have the resources for two gear sets, I only have full AoW set right now, 13k Swordmaster Destroyer

Hmm I don't think I chose the Fast Runner feat. But I will try using Bravery next time, thanks.

What does Roar do vs. TRs?

Any tips on how to actually fight them?

learn to anticipate where they are. roar will hit them while stealthed, then u takedown and ibs them.

A DoT weapon enchant helps to mess up their stealth too. Unless they have an emblem, in which case it's a free 100% heal every 2 mins.

That's the hard part. I cannot anticipate where they are when stealthed. Any tips here?

Other than the facts already mentioned about Roar, this skill is bugged. It goes through immunities such as ITC and DF 3rd strike's immunity.

    dodge flurry.

but in this patch if they crit SE u still needs to die as a destroyer... just the way it is..

lol thats why i said u need that exstra sprint so u can chase them around so they dont df as much and if they do start sprint away.they should neve be able to df u from stealth coz u are the chaser only from itc when u see them.
u need all sprint u can get as swordmaster but as u wish cant have it all.
u can take last sharendar boon instead of feat

    1) You're not going to do well with AoW in PvP now. I am convinced of this after few games i got with PvE equipped GWFs today. If the enemy has PvP gear, you'll be no match. So i suggest you to save some glory and victory coins and get at least the heroic duelist. Or the grim gear. It's not hard to get. Jewelry too. Don't know for the other classes, but a GWF with no tenacity is not good now, if you ask me.

    2) If you're destroyer, you have the reduced cooldown on roar and takedown. My suggestion is to use this along with good recovery to keep your enemy stunned as much as you can. Roar+takedown+IBS. You'll have them up very fast, which is good.

    3) Most TRs i meet are hybrid perma build. They come out of stealth going ITC, tank you, dodge roll away as soon as ITC runs out and fade into stealth, dodge roll again to get out of range and evade+ duelist flurry from stealth, then as soon as ITC is up they pop out to tank you directly again exc....

    - Don't use your encounters on them when they are ITC (pitch black toon)
    - Count their ITC timing, and when they dodge roll away, follow, stun from range with roar, sprint to location fast, takedown and IBS.
    - Force them to fight on a node. In open ground, you'll have a hard time finding them. On a node, when you see it is contested, sprint fast to the opposite side. They usually hide there. If you see them, hit them and try to proc deep gash to drain their stealth. They'll dodge roll again and run around to buy time. Stick to them. More important, learn to guess where they will roll, point your roar in that direction and use it as soon as they end the rolling animation. That's usually the moment they are most vulnerable. When they roll to go from ITC to stealth, they usually roll behind you. Wait for that moment and stun them when the rolling animation ends. You will not see them at this point, but you'll know that they are stunned and stealthed there. Sprint to their location. Once you're near them ,you'll be able to see them. Takedown and IBS.

    4) Slot deflection. Take the heroic feats to increase defense and HP if you want to seriously PvP with a destroyer.

    5) Slot bravery. Increased run speed + deflection can help you a lot to prevent them from kiting you too much.

    5) If the TR uses shocking execution, you're dead in any case. But if you hear the sound, you can try to sprint away. Don't think it works, but you can try.

Other than that, just pressure them and keep them stunned. Don't let them run around stealthed freely. Keep them pressured.

As for gear, i suggest you to try at least to get a grim set. Sentinel set to be more tanky, Instigator set could be better for you with HP, recovery and defense. Stack ArP as much as you can. Which means ArP PvP jewelry, dark enchants at least rank 6 (easy to get). A tenacity set with rank 6 and stacked ArP is, if you ask me, better than a AoW set with rank 8s and stacked power, for PvP.
On the PvP set, i'd use barkshield or negation on a destroyer. Even a lesser enchant can contribute to boost your survivability a bit.

But i'd say don't go PvP on PvE gear. Much less with a squishy DPS PvE set such as AoW.
