Please FIX perma stealth TR's

I know I know sure it is fun for the TR but not for anyone else. a SINGLE Perma-Stealth TR can keep 4 people busy while their team takes everything and comes to that point. Why do we still insist letting the most OVERPOWERED ability in ANY game go this far? NO OTHER MMO that I know of lets their classes have basic immunity with FULL TIME STEALTH.

I also don't care about we have to give up damage to get it..... SO WHAT!!!!!!!!! If you can't ever be seen that doesn't matter. Not to mention the GROSS advantage this class has over ALL OTHERS in PVE...

Please fix

    1. TRs are at an extreme disadvantage in PVE.
    2. TRs are not immune when stealthed. That you believe this to be true is evidence of your own incompetence rather than TRs being "OP". There are many ways to foil stealthed TRs.
    3. Don't let permas keep your entire team busy. Simple as that. You're playing right into their hands when you do.

It's hilarious how many people are unable to deal with anything that's even slightly outside the ordinary. All they want to do is face tank each other and spam encounters. God forbid you have to face something that requires a little bit of thought and strategy to counter.

LOL, if one TR trolls 4 of you, means just that you are terrible players who do not have a clue about your own class abilities. For example: you did not have a GWF who can AoE the rogue from stealth? Learn to play!
Ridiculous QQ/trolling, plese close this topic as the topics about GWFs are thrown into oblivion.

FFS, stop telling lies! There are certain abilities which can hit TR while he is in stealth. Learn your class!

    Wait, this again?

irk2013, sorry that you're having trouble with a TR. If you search the forum, many of the skilled TR's have posted multiple ways of dealing with a permastealth TR. Bear in mind that many of those solutions were pre-lantern of revelation artifact, so it is much easier now. There are a number of ways of easily locking down a permastealth TR, so by all means please do look through those threads.

If you're getting hit while stealthed you're doing it wrong.

Anyway the point is that no matter how ridiculous a class/spec/item/whatever might be, there are always people who use that item trying to defend it, self-interest ofc and it's really funny watching them squirm

Well, everyone just yells "nerf stealth for TRs". But what would you propose INSTEAD? I'm listening.

Or maybe not, few classes and few abilities in this game, you can easily list the most popular used by any class and see how many counters you have.
Even if i hit reckless people like you, it's only little damage and doesn't even break stealth, at this point you probably get it to stay further away or attack cause that encounter is on cooldown.
Well, everyone just yells "nerf stealth for TRs". But what would you propose INSTEAD? I'm listening.

I don't propose anything because i'm not yelling nerf rogues. Something changes when like 90% of TRs will embrace this form and if you have a game where the overwhelming majority of a class runs around with the same abilities slotted, same spec, same feats, same everything that should be a clear red flag that's something is very wrong ..but this won't stop guys like you from trying to defend it and THAT for me be really fun :)

Hhaahah yeah pretty much man. In the OP's defense, however, there's a reason they like to keep certain playing styles happy, it's because certain classes and builds are the most popular, and those people spend the most real money on gearing up. Keep them happy, the Zen flows. It's as simple as that at times. Besides, like zug said, it's just a matter of learning how to fight them. Learn about how their stealth works, when they have more resist, etc. Don't just click your buttons for your next encounter, use them when you should. For example, lots of inexperienced TRs will begin to turn the other way when they're about to lose their resistance, immediately drop a frontline on them, then take them out. You just need to learn how people play and observe the class more, man, that's all it is. However, I will say that a highly geared TR that uses a stealth (not perma) build with bilethorn can be especially nasty post-patch with the HD. Sometimes you need to run, pot, rethink.

So I take it that your cries to nerf a class are not due to self-interest? Your quest is pretty noble.

PS. If an opponent is hitting a TR in Stealth, it simply means that he's experienced enough to know that a TR is most vulnerable while he's in Stealth. If a TR can remain in Stealth without getting hit at least once during his time in the node, then he must be against a relatively inexperienced PUG.

This. :) Just let the lazy Q.Q their hearts out. If we get nerfed, well whatever. Let's just play a dead and useless class for the moment, and let the defeatists earn their petty victories created by their months of tears and inability to learn. We'll find other ways to earn your tears in one way or another.

TR perma stealth is a solo player can manipulate the opposing team, and can capture the opposing tower easily especially if you have a fast mount, this will give a great advantage to her team, unlike other classes that can be pushed away with some skill TR perma can not mainly for CW you need to see that the skills work.

The combat system "Neverwinter" proves increasingly flawed so after of "patch PvP" I stopped playing this game.

This is somewhat hilarious, given that the largest amount of crying that this game has seen was when there was a planned nerf of TRs. Others can only aspire to such greatness.

As an HR, perma-stealth TRs are easy kills.

As in, I end the fight at > 50% health.

Actually I remember that - it was an incredible sight. Of course at that stage almost half the game's population, and more than 50% of the game's PvP players seemed to be TRs, which might tell you something about how balanced the class was...

Right now in PvP however, non-permastealth TRs seem to be rather under-powered while permastealth ones are right up there with Halfling Sentinel GWFs for cheese factor.

I find it funny that NO OTHER MMO has a PERMA-Stealth class NONE..... As a matter of fact in EVERY SINGLE game that has a stealth class it is the most heated and hated subject on the forums. Not being able to see your opponent is BULLCRAP. Only people who want to pick and choose and/or keep their grossly overpowered spec defends it.

Even if you hit a TR in stealth it doesn't bring them out (which it should do)

Just sick and tired of people defending a class mechanic that is only available in this MMO.. You would of think Cryptic Dev team would of known how stupid a perma-stealth class would become...

I think I heard him say that a possibility they are considering is to, in essence, make rogues "more detectable" (i.e. visible from slightly farther away) when they attack from stealth (but no change if they are not attacking). They even indicated that it may only apply to their target, not the whole enemy team.

This makes the most sense out of the suggestions they bantered about.

In DDO (Dungeons & Dragons Online), a Rogue with the Assassin prestige class can assassinate a target from stealth and stay stealthed.

Just FYI, and thats just one other video game I actively play. I'm sure there are more.

What exactly is there to aspire to? The tears our class have been getting since Closed Beta dwarfs the 2 weeks we used to prevent that lazy nerf from getting through.

As long as Stealth remains in the game, the largest amount of crying the game has truly seen will never stop. :)

I guess you know what game you should play, then. Probably not this one! But right now, just relax man. Stay in the game, keep that jar Izidius handed you filled up, and you'll get what you want eventually. There are already plans for a "rework" so keep your eyes peeled for more updates from the devs!

I'm a rogue but I don't use perma-stealth...I tried it in a build before and didn't like it. Perma-stealth rogues I deal with easily, sometimes I just stand there and lol because their dmg is so low. So before you go on saying things like SUCK and butthurt (you sound like a child) ...get your facts straight kid.

You should really take some time to understand the mechanics of a TR before making posts on the official forums asking for sweeping, game-breaking changes to a class.

I suggest you make a TR alt, play it, and only then will you really understand what's going on when they're having their way with you in PVP. That goes for any class you have an issue with. The best PVPers aren't the ones that know their own class perfectly, it's the players that know all of the other classes just as well.

Wow, people should learn to complain without looking like a 5 year old.
There's a stealth remake in the works, so that might change things.
TRs have been nerfed a lot, to the point where we're useless in PVE because PVPers complained a lot.
I'm a TR (not perma stealth, but still I can maintain it for a semi long time) and it's not playing easy mode or anything, we have to trade a lot of stuff, like damage, defense, etc. to be able to maintain it longer, also we have to be careful when in stealth to not get detected, or you think we just have a walk in the park attacking with no worries?
There's also lots fo ways to hurt us in stealth, ANY attack that doesn't require a target can hurt us in stealth.
