Please give us the old Soulforged back

Hello.

Soulforged with the new PvP patch and healing depression is just lame. It would really make much more sense if it was like the old one.

I know "rolling back" an enchant would be admitting to have made a mistake, but i think you would be forgiven for that quickly

The new soulforge is better for PvE though. It helps us recover from lag related red circle failures that could result in a boss wipe.

Maybe we can try other things in PvP now? We have to have two sets of gear anyhow.

Personally I like that SF is no longer the do all, end all option. I am getting sick of everything being perfect vorpal and perfect SF.

Soulforge should not have been touched, period. Now with healing depression it's essentially a worthless enchant.

    Never needed SissyForge anyway.

Besides, killing 2nd-rate GWFs are now a breeze. They really do go down faster.

Although the 1st-rate, top-level GWFs are even more untouchable.. it still means I now only need to worry about those handful few real monster players, not all the munchkin wannabes that jumped aboard the FotM train.. buwahahahahaha.. all their moaning and bi***ing as they are ressurected with only around half of "2nd life"... and seeing them rage yet again when Bloodcrystal Raven Skull only fills them with around half... and then them being killed again... it's like Buster Keaton comedy.

(ps) All enchantments are only as "worthless" as how the player uses it. To quote Gump, "Stupid as stupid does".

The heal depression effects the effectiveness of Temp-HP powers in PvP now. It only gives you around half Temp-HP as compared to once it used to. Frankly, all this frustration of SissyForge users is music to my ears.

I'd love that this means more enchants are viable, like someone said, everyone was using vorpal and soulforge.

You really should try Bronzewood. Its amazing, especially when with all the people now have increased dam.res., the extra 16% armor negation really does make a difference.

Would bloodtheft be affected by the heal depression?

If so, do you guys think taking negation would be worth it on TR, or is bark just better in terms of survivability?

Its still hands down the best PvE enchant, so will continue be the most sought after armor enchant, but is nice that healing depression make other enchants wanted.

How long does the mark from Bronzewood last? Because if it is long enough it could be decent in PvE for TR / ST HRs for elite and boss fights also.

I think it's a necessary change with all the damage reduction that has happened in PVP.

Everybody too poor to have had one hates it and is now happy it's no longer so viable.

Everybody that had SF and enjoy its benefits wants it back (such as me&you).

I personally think it should work on a class basis. Some classes actually need that HP and HoT because they're extremely squish, while others don't, as they are already tanky.

If one armor enchant is used by ALL classes across PVE and PVP, that is a good indication it needs to be nerfed

Nah, just make other useless enchants worth something by working at them, but why not take the lazy path instead and nerf the one good enchant that you managed to design lol.

I agree. I use Fireburst on my armor for the appearance, and it's pretty useless in both PvP and PvE. Once per minute, I have a chance to deal 650~ fire damage to my attacker. That's not even one strike from Sure Strike, and I have to wait for a minute until it can trigger again. I'm hoping that Cryptic will get rid of the cooldowns on the damage shield enchantments (Frostburn, Bloodtheft, Fireburst, etc.) so they will be viable in either PvP or PvE or both.

All they could have done is reduce the internal CD on other enchant so they are worth using.

But instead they decided to mess with soulforged, again.

It's still the best armor enchant in the game. That's how bad the rest of them are.

SF is still what everyone is using, I'm sick of people reviving in pvp XD I kill them with all my effort, and then they revive and others arrive :(

It wasn't nerfed, it was changed. New soulforged works most of the time and it's even possible to have more than 1 extra life in a boss fight. Old soulforged could proc when you didn't need it and when you did need it, sometimes didn't proc at all (although new sf sometimes does that). In pvp it may have been less useful now I guess.

nah there are 3 incarnations of SF (for PvP - this is a PvP related discussion). The first one where you go invincible for max 5 secs, the 2nd one where you get 5940 heal and some HoT as well on death/90 secs, and the third current one where you get half that, and half raven artifact as well, and die shortly after SF proc while running away scared ;)

It's simple stupid and feel like a bug, that the healing depression affects SF. Because you are in the state of being DOWN, so all debuffs and buffs get removed. Why the healing depression stay?
