Can original T2 pvp armor set have Tenacity?

The T1 pvp armor set (Gladiator Mage) I'm wearing has Tenacity. But the original T2 pvp armor set (Champion Mage) I'm planing to buy doesn't have Tenacity.

Although I can buy the original T2 pvp armor set and then trade it in Trade of Blade for a new pvp armor set which has Tenacity, those new sets aren't ideal to me.

I don't do pvp, but I guess it is still better to have Tenacity in case some day I need it.

So is there a way to acquire an original T2 pvp armor set which has Tenacity?

No all you can do is trade in the GG set for one of the 3 gaunt pvp sets in trade of blades, There is no way to get the original T2 gear with tenacity because some stats have to be removed to make way for the tenacity stat.

Thanks for the reminding of removed stats. I just checked those new pvp armor sets again and did find that some stats have been removed or reduced in number. Maybe that was for the balance of gear score.

So it seems that wearing the original T2 pvp armor set is more beneficial in pve.

In your opinion, would a CW wears the original T2 pvp armor set, which has no Tenacity, become a big loser if he goes into pvp?

I've been using the Champion mage set to PvP for ages and things certainly feel very different since the patch. I'm going to continue with it for a while and see how things settle down. The healing nerfs appear to have made the soul forged / Bloodcrystal combo useless so I've switched to a barkskin enchant for now. It's not clear to me which new PvP set is BiS at the moment.

Putting the Buff into Debuff since 2013 \o/ (Does that even make sense)?

Thanks. Please let us know when you figure out Champion Mage set's usefulness in current pvp.

I'm probably not the best person to ask since I only pvp for fun , what you need to know is what the lowest amount of tenacity you can get away with is ,if you can get enough tenacity by just wearing the pvp rings and necklace and pvp main hand and off hand then you should be ok using a pve armor set however if you need a really high amount of tenacity to be able to play properly then you will need the tenacity from the armor too .

I just noticed that my current T1 pvp armor set's other stats have been reduced in number, too. Such a nerf to existing armors' stats really can be a headache.

I checked my T2 gear and nada. Devs slept at the PC again.

Quote from the still available post that announced the changes.
"One of those changes is introducing a new stat to all existing and upcoming PvP equipment: Tenacity."
Link to the page that will be good until they change it to fit what they actually did.

Did they do it right. Of course not.

This was already announced, but they added tenacity directly to the current T1 sets because those are the only sets, with the T2 sets, they made three different choices, and allow you to pick which set you want by giving you the opportunity to trade your current set in for a new one rather than forcing you to simply deal with whatever stats they put on the existing T2 set.
