hi guys, i just re-started playing neverwinter with my trickster, with which i was using an executioner build. I changed to a stealth build very similar to the Banelorne one but i cant really find a good rotation for 1vs1 in pvp versus other melee classes :(
Build

For the powers im using Gloaming Cut/Cloud of Steel/Bait and Switch/Shadow Strike/Lashing Blade as suggested and i usually start like this: Cloud of Steel (wait him to come closer) -> Gloaming Cut from stealth until i get a crit -> LB -> reacharge stealth with B&S or SS and repeat.

Do you think this is wrong? are you using a different / more effective rotation?
because this works fine on paper but people react fast to gloaming cut ( that is slow) and with almost no knifes in the middle of the battle i have no ranged dmg to make use of all that steath...

I've tried replacing LS with Impact shot but this skill will be nerfed now, do you have any suggestion? how do you play this build?

I really have to update the guide. That was the rotation I had before Gauntlgrym got into the game. I usually do not recommend my build for PVP but since I have relative success in using it then I guess other people will be able to use it too.

    Nowadays I use...

Setup 1: Lashing Blade, Shadow Strike, Impossible to Catch. - Gloaming Cut, Cloud of Steel.
Setup 2: Bait and Switch, Shadow Strike, Impossible to Catch. - Gloaming Cut, Cloud of Steel.

Gloaming Cut is absurdly slow which is what makes using this skill require practice, and lots of it. But it hits hard if you do land it. The trick to Gloaming Cut is you have to dodge AFTER you attack an enemy with it. This way you will not be in melee range after you attack your enemy as you might get CC-ed. If you can't dodge, make sure you attack at a decent distance from the enemy and preferably behind his back so he doesn't detect you easily. The beauty in Gloaming Cut is that it gets stronger the more your opponent has less HP so take advantage of that and use it with Cloud of Steel to whittle down some of your enemy's HP from range before closing in for some hits.

For my first setup, it requires a sort of hit and run tactic. You use LB on an enemy but make sure to find the right opportunity to do so. Then use ITC as a defensive barrier then immediately Shadow Strike. Wait until your ITC is almost over before going back to Stealth. Thanks to Gloaming Cut, I can extend Stealth long enough that Lashing Blade would go out of Cooldown before my Stealth ends. So I can burst someone down every 15 seconds.

For the second setup, your DPS will come solely from At-Wills. It's the permastealth setup, something I use in PVP only when I absolutely need to do so. Gloaming Cut is strong enough to provide you with the DPS to kill squishies, but not the well-built tanks. This is the setup you'll want to use when your team is up against an OP team composition that has 2 GWF's and 1 DC on their side. The goal of this setup is to keep them from gaining points. It'll be hard to kill someone with a defensive setup like this but what you want here is the team benefit of being able to hold opponents in a node for a long time.

And no, I don't recommend Impact Shot unless you're running Scoundrel. It used to be easy mode to use back then, but now it'll only have burst capabilities if you are using Xyntrinz1a's build.

Now with that the PVP patches are in. Is your build still apply or will you be making changes to your guide? Now that there are new sets for Tenacity and a 35% increase in Stealth

Yep! Will definitely make changes but nothing too grand, really. Just some minor updates with our preferred sets. And I'll possibly update the PVP section of the guide too.

What do u mean by this? Cause I thought Impact Shot would be good if Critical Overrun is available for it. But then again, IS got nerfed but still usable to push enemies off the edge to take nodes. At the same time, the powers and stealth meter are being refreshed as they run up the stairs. lol So IS is kinda a utility thing...i think atm
