I don't know details I only relay this message.
It's look like the pet Ioun Stone of Radiance can be created by will and this unbounded.
I know it's started that they were sold for 20 gold 8 hours ago and they will still be sold but now only for 3 gold. Too many pet for only unbounded at drop to create such an price impact.

Seems very profound for me that this is an exploit. And yeah I had to give this message because I quested with my char and taked place in the event by this.(24h roll-back very likely)

They are not rolling back sadly. A way to reward those ppl who bought zen and can do multiple claim of the stone I guess.

No rollback and stones were changed to BOP from BOE. So everyone is stuck now with multiple BOP stones now.

What I find more alarming is the message PWE are giving. I am warning people I know not to do this and they are replying saying "Yes we know its an exploit but PWE won't ban anyone so go ahead and do it. Especially those buying the exploited items, now is your chance to take advantage of it". It feels to me that PWE's actions are in effect green lighting such behavior. I can't help but feel penalized for doing the right thing, not buying one of those stones, despite the fact I wanted one.
Maybe I should give up trying to play fairly and join in since PWE are happy for people to do this and consider them lucky.

    I don't get it.
The stone is a gift, you didn't buy it.
So there was a glitch and people (rightly or wrongly) took advantage of that glitch.

I see avoiding a rollback as the way to go. I think Cryptic handled this in a smooth, proper way. Not everyone who posted the Stone of Radiance to the AH is a cheater or exploiter. Based on some of the intellectual levels of communication I see, I can easily understand how some simply did not know it was cheating (I know: it is highly unlikely they are innocent, but I'd rather the benefit of doubt here).

Simply changing the stones to BoP solves the problem and the AH will be devoid of Stones of Radiance soon enough through attrition (5 days) - because if they do sell, the buyer is stuck with it. If not, then the seller is stuck with it. So what's the big deal?

Granted, when I heard about (and saw the screenshot) of these stone being in the AH, I felt let down. But angry? *ANGRY*? Pah-lese. Set your life priorities in order. This is a game, everything you buy or obtain in it is an intangible and is Cryptic's property, not yours (you cannot remove it from the game and take it with you.)

The sooner you realize and embrace this train-of-thought, the sooner you'll be a lot happier when glitches and things come along. Try to reach a ZEN-like state of mind. (LOL Sorry, I couldn't resist that).

I also agree a rollback is not the way to go. However I do feel that people who exploited this should be punished, even if its just a "yellow card", do something like this again and we won't give you the benefit of the doubt.

I see where you are coming from. I am not sure if I'd go as far as to say I was angry though. Disappointed at PWE's reaction to this (and previous) problems. I have no problem with their being bugs, only with how they deal with them. I guess I just have stronger feelings of right and wrong than most people - I won't go out of my way to use an exploit for personal gain and I admit I do feel frustrated at people's "lets push it as far as I can and see what I can get away with" mentality.

You are right this is just a game, and I agree my emotions to this are not important in the grand scheme of things. This is also why I have stopped giving PWE any cash - I no longer get the enjoyment from the game I used to as a consequence of these exploits. I used to purchase zen, but with the nightmare incident they made their intentions clear (exploiting is ok), and since this is not a sentiment I agree with that is the point I stopped giving them any cash.

Yeah, I understand saying "angry" and it really just being a way to emphasize the disappointment. I suspect those who have posted these stones to the AH will get some kind of notice, perhaps a warning at least, a banning at worst; who knows. Cryptic (rightly so) does not announce disciplinary actions, but I'm quite sure the people who did this will know Cryptic is not happy about it.

Is it enough to call it "punishment"? I don't know. But also to be clear: I was highly disappointed to see this also. Even though the stone is a freebie, it's supposed to be a 'thank-you" gift. And like you, I feel slighted, not by Cryptic in the least, but by these hooligans. Which just goes to show how some people will take advantage of thank-you (and other) gifts, etc. For them it's all about 'me, me, me", which in the end it's actually kind of pathetic when you look at it close enough.

Nah. I'm sure everyone who bought or sold stones were just "lucky."
