Is it just me, or do these PvP buffs significantly boost HR compared to other classes?
+ Tenacity Survivability
+ Good PvP set stats
+ Armor pen in base stats
While other classes lose damage due to not having arm pen stat, high tank classes become more killable due to healing depression, and other classes get cut on getting a good PvP stat distribution on the PvP gear?
Tenacity will decrease dps by 30-35 %
Healing is nerfed by 50%
All of a sudden it doesn't like the healing nerf is as serious as assumed. And tenacity made HP much more valuable.
Very hard to say what benefits most from this, but probably the GWF because of that huge HP pool and very high armor penetration.
Remember, mitigation effectively increases HP and GWFs not only have a lot of HP but also a lot of mitigation and unstopabble temporary adds even more effective HP through mitigation - that part wasn't nerfed.
Lets also not forget since its a ranged class and can root, there is potential to avoid getting hit and thereby bypass healind depressing if you can stay out of range long enough. Also, the only real problem for HR was GWF, which was now made easier to kill by all classes/builds overall.
From playing on the test server, the healing nerf is very serious. It definitely outweighs the benefits provided by tenacity as far as pure survivability, which is why GWF is easier to kill as a result. For TR and GWF, you are talking about healing ~ 2k every 3 seconds vs healing 1k at max regen. Keep in mind though, it isn't even as common as you would think to have regen gaining its max value because its so powerful at keeping your hp up. It is the main survivability tool of the game in pvp.
I guess you will see tomorrow. It is hard to explain. Basically now fights last longer from tenacity, but carry out in a more stable manner due to healing depression. So for GWF, you no longer hit a wall of not being able to out-damage how much they heal once they get to their max regen value. Classes like stealth rogues no longer heal up as much between stealth rotations which makes them somewhat more vulnerable. (Unless they can be sure they wont be hit by an aoe or damage over time skill or damage over time enchant. In this case they may be able to heal a little bit without healing depression due to waiting out the buff from not getting hit while in stealth.)
