WTT soon to be stupidly lame class (control wizard, now even DCs are a challenge and might kill us, GG, GG) for OP class (I'd prefer GWF thank you, I tested it and it still works like in Live, I press QER and enemies die).
I think Cryptic should offer us this class/race change opportunity, since they completely break/change how classes work in PvP.
5vs5 IV GWF halfling, best way to have fun? Maybe?

Stay the course, m8. There will be a day of reckoning when GWFreak players scream in hordes, "I can't play the class like this!", as some vital, very important nerf hits the scene.
I'm not sure just how long the developers will simply fall blind and deaf to just how massively OP a single class is, but things will change. When the day comes, you need to have stayed the course to laugh long and hard, as you see the same hordes of people suddenly dump the class and move over to the next FotM. It's hilariously pathetic to watch.
We need good CWs, HRs, TRs, DCs, GFs, any other class that is not GWFs. The more the merrier, in the face of the clone horde.
Stop making excuses. Be a man. If you know something to be broken, stop using it. Otherwise, you've got no right to be speaking of 'balance.'
I wonder after this update, if in 2 weeks time with the ELO system in place, will there something like "class brackets" - e.g. GWF will get high ELO score and the PuG generator will create 5vs5 GWF fights, with 1 or 2 other extremely skilled players with another class thrown in?
Imaginary Friends are the best friends you can have!
Only Tenacity is going in? I viewed the link, but does anyone have the specifics if Healing Depression and the Elo Matchmaking will come with the Thursday patch as well?
This is probably their test phase for live where it gets tons of negative feedback but it'll still count as a success. I see the sense in Tenacity and Healing Depression, though. But not like this where gear has to be separated in order to become more efficient in PVP. It's silly.
Healing Depression will affect Devoted Clerics the most. Since DC's have Righteousness, I'm imagining we'll be seeing more Buff/Debuff-oriented builds such as Buffer ACDC's (Exaltation, Astral Shield, Bastion of Health feated with Warding Shield), or Tanky Debuffer High Prophet DODC's (Prophecy of Doom, Divine Glow, Astral Shield). Or probably even a resurgence of PVP DPS DC's. Playing as a healing support will not be as viable because of HD (unless the DC stays on top of an elevation or hides behind a pillar...) + Righteousness.

And that will just promote people to play cookie cutter builds in pvp. There wont be any sort of variety just because of how limiting everything will be.
I get what you mean, friend. It'll destroy PVP as we know today and it'll be a whole new learning curve. But then again, even without these PVP changes, everyone's still using cookiecutter builds for PVP. PVP builds mostly concentrate on performing perma-CC, in a sense where you don't last one rotation to see their next set of CC's because those CC's are associated with high damage modifiers.
If they catch you without any means of escape, you do not last one rotation against an IV Sent, you do not last a rotation against a PVP Thaum, a PVP Root Combat HR, Cookie-cutter Executioner TR, etc. There are very limited specs you can do for PVP because the meta dictates that you either have to CC or you get CC'd. People build their characters to take away their opponents ability to be able to react against their actions. That is what PVP is right now, and Tenacity will simply change the meta to something else. People will find new ways to play PVP, and the choices will still be limited because there are limited ways to play one's class efficiently in a PVP setup.

Tenacity will negate most cc effects...
This will.....
Make people go full power and drop cc skills...
or
Make people all go full Stealth Mode (from the game that is)

I hate paying taxes! Why must I pay thousands of dollars in taxes when everything I buy is taxed anyways!

i think it will just promote people to roll a gwf instead
it says "Are you ready to dominate? Our PvP updates are coming this Thursday, 3/6, with new gear, a new Tenacity stat, matchmaking, and penalties for early leavers!" So I think it's a package deal. It just doesn't mention healing depression.
Thanks, I guess that answered my original question!
Glad I managed to grind the PVP artifact on my CW at the weekend, as I'll probably retire her from PVP after Thursday. Shame as I find the gameplay the most enjoyable out of my 5 toons. Oh well.

Looking forward to see some random stat pop out of nowhere just to make PvP sets... viable for PvP!
