seems like cryptic is doing all they can for ppl not to use this tr build.
i mean u cant solo epic dungeon because of random q system that keeps bringing ppl to the party. (sadly there is no solo option to epic dungeons)
besides they also added all those doors like in castle never with all mob guarding them so u as a single tr cant get through or it will take u hours to kill all mob alone b4 u will b able to open them.

not only as a "pre made stealth" tr u lose dps now it seems u cant even use this build up .
"pre made stealth" trs r made for solo im really starting to regret i made this build up and find it useless in this game at least at the state it is today.
:(

I'm not sure what you mean by "pre-made-stealth" TR.

    I'm assuming you mean "permastealth"?
Stop making excuses. Be a man.
If you know something to be broken, stop using it.
Otherwise, you've got no right to be speaking of 'balance.'

The choice is yours. In the end, if you don't enjoy it, then you might as well not play it. But if you do, keep it. Who knows. Maybe in the future we'll get some stuff that are actually suitable for players who like playing solo challenges. Though I'm thinking this won't be coming any time soon.

Module 3 is coming soon though.

Without stealth TR die way too quickly once you don't have ITC. As a matter of fact. It is possible for enemy to burst you even under ITC lol. The crit dmg are insane.

Well, there is no other good build for a rogue except for stealthy one. Our class gets constantly discriminated and people call us "useless" if we can't open door or get to the next campfire for them...it's really frustrating

We still remain the best single target dps though. It's bad that people just tend to judge others by dps board (x)

Permastealth rogues are useless. In both pve and pvp you sacrifice way to much dps just to avoid direct attacks...
I refuse to ever go permastealth and I do not have a hard time in pve or pvp and my damage is through the roof.

It's good for lulz. My rogue is weak as hell, but he can keep an entire enemy team occupied for quite a while (if they're stupid, and they usually are). Plus you constantly get accused of "P2W!!!!1", which is always fun.

    This is why

I wouldn't go as far as calling permastealths useless though. They can put out some nice bursts. And while they sacrifice damage for survivability they are by no means a bad way to play. Just not my way.

I use stealth a lot, Don't get me wrong. But I use it only in a way that it increases my damage. I don't need the extra survivability from being in stealth permanently, nor do I wish to sack damage in favor of it. We're a dps class. We shouldn't need to hide 100%. In the end, it's a choice. Unless you're a PvPer. Then perma stealth is almost a necessity. There are too many GWF/GF and CWs around these days. We have no choice but to maximize our defenses against those people or we get shredded before you can blink.

I agree. It's a waste of a dam good class. And one that's a lot of fun playing, even without permastealth.

jinadu, you know you're free to post your own build/guide on the forums right? Show us how you think rogues should be played. I'm always interested in other views on the class.

I don't know what it is about cryers and whiners in this game... Every other class complaining about rogue being too OP... Rogues complaining about GWFs being hard to kill... I actually enjoy fighting GWFs in pvp, with the correct rotation and build (definitely NOT perma-stealth) GWFs are not that hard to kill, and im talking decent ones not noobs.

Furthermore, when I come across perma-stealth rogues in pvp more time they are lame, they do virtually no damage... my life-steal (with dread ring boon) can heal through all the damage they do in their whole rotation so they are left throwing daggers when they come out of stealth and have expended all their encounters, that's the time to strike and 1-shot them... After this I just laugh because I find perma-stealth rogues cowards.

Lastly, ppl complain about rogues being too op and perma-stealth being too cheap... they should of just fixed the stealth mechanic months ago so ppl wouldn't abuse it so much.

Well, I can say the same about the GWFs which just takedown, shield charge and indomitable strike you for 80% of your hp. As against permastealth it leaves people completely disabled without giving them a chance to do anything. The hell! Some people can hear rogues in stealth and kill them while you can do nothing about gwfs rushing at you in a some kind of god mode.
Same for fighting against the CWs with their shards, OF and EF. Can't do a HAMSTER literally agains them sometimes :P

It's up to people to choose the way they want to play. I personally hate playing permastealth in PvP but I switch to it if I see another permastealth rogue in the opposite team or a gwf that has 40k+ hp and kills me with one rotation lol

P.S IMO pvp is a cc/stealth wars atm imo

Haha, see the thing is about those GWFs is that they spam all 3 encounters at the start of the fight and are stuck on cooldown with sure strike (at-will) as their only active power, this is a great time to build your counterattack, if you have Shoxecution up you will devastate them. Now, if you have good life steal + regen and use pots in pvp you will give GWFs problems beause not only are your attacks faster than theirs you wont expend all your encounters like them, leaving you with viable offensive and defensive abilities during the fight.

Only thing you should REALLY be watching out for is getting ganked 3vs1 or CWs and HRs hiding at the top of pillars using ranged attacks like noobs.

I would advise to stay away from this build unless you are set on having it. It isn't really viable for PvE, but stealth builds are the best builds for PvP currently. The only thing is, I raised the question on one of the recent dev PvP live streams as to whether or not there were plans to nerf permastealth in PvP. They replied that they are currently looking at alternatives to make stealth build less viable like making dealing damage from stealth reduce stealth duration or making you visible to targets that you are hitting while stealthed. Seeing as the high arm pen capabilities with tenacity added, in addition to the final tier rogue PvP set having nerfed stats, on playing preview shard it looks like HR can perform just as well as TR in PvP. Once nerfs are added to TR stealth ability, HR is going to be able to out-perform them. Switch while you can :P
