I was checking youtube gwf videos when I ran into someone with crazy stats and I cant tell how these stats are possible
He is gwf swordmaster and in the video he was doing dwarf king

His gear score 16900
Power 14980
Crit 4000
Ap low was like 200
Def 3870
Deflect 780
Regen 400

So how is possible to have that high power with high def and Crit
His dmg is insanely high even before reaching boss he delt like 2m dmg and second one like 700k dmg

Yeah the stats dont sound right and gear score way too low for these stats...and I think that power is impossible at this level of the game maybe in the future it is

    The video name is

He/She isn't cheating; I can guarantee that. There was a post somewhere in The Barracks about a GWF able to hit 14k+ power by self-buffing. Heck, I can hit ~10k power in rank 7s very easily and can go higher if I grabbed the feat where Slam will raise my power for a few seconds. If you also factor in the buffs that other classes can provide you, its not impossible to have ~15k power.

Because not even 60% power buff for the team is enough to make gf worth taking to a dungeon.

Instigator Capstone increases power by 10% whenever an ally is hit within 15' of the GWF. Stacks up to 5 times, goes away when GWF is struck. Some GWF's have 10k Power with power-based gear. So I'm pretty sure it's possible to go beyond 14k Power with 10k base power + Instigator's Vengeance.

More or less this - what use is a tanking class when there is a single class that has vastly superior mob control, AOE DPS and even access to instant kill pushes?

Remember how useless GWF were before Mod 2 - it was only when their DPS was boosted were they were wanted PvE. And while GWF may currently be considerably better than GF, they are still utterly outclassed by CWs. So even if the relative balance between GF and GWF was changed, GF would still have a hard time getting parties when CW is so far ahead of everyone else.

Yeah and did he happen to have a GF and DC in the party as well? That number is probably buffed by knight captain's among other things...

Ive had runs where we set GWF's power over 16k :D (its over 9000!!!!!!) KC set, DC buffs and GWFs self buffs... 2 CWs with HV... VT 12 minutes full run, SP 20 min while chatting and pulling all the maws just for the laughs, killing 1st boss in FH without allowing him to freeze.. etc etc...

Only slow GFs slow down runs.

To be fair that is at very high GS levels compared to the vast majority of people. And even so I imagine in those cases a 3 CW 2 GWF party would have been even faster.

Well, to be fair too, to lower levels of GS Gfs make runs smoother and safer, but whatever, let everybody play whatever they have fun playing with.

    Very true on both points.

My remark though was more meant along the lines that the GF class doesn't scale as well as certain other classes. It is not that a GF doesn't contribute, it is just that other classes can contribute a lot more at higher GS levels.

hah! You guys posting that video, and subsequent talk of this not being abnormal, just makes me feel like a scrub on my HR LOL! Is this really how powerful geared GWF's are in PvE? I suppose after seeing them in GG tanking 5-8 people at a time this should be no surprise to me @laugh...then Sigh@

Well, to be fair, all they stack is radiant enchants and all they focus on is power since their other stats can be obtained by gear/feats. If this wasn't the case, the power would be a lot less.

I'm not so much talking about the power score as the end result. That guy was an absolute God in those videos. Tank...everything. Blow up...everything. In danger...Never. Working as intended...I doubt it. I'm derailing though so I'll stop my line of convo with this post but just watching that video is disheartening, thinking about how my other classes will never be able to do such a thing.

This. A good GF is amazing. Sadly, there are perhaps four decent GF in all of Neverwinter. The rest seem to believe they are DPS, although if you spec DPS as a GF it's really no surprise that a group passes you over for another CW. GF damage is a joke to actual DPS classes.

If you spec for defense and know how to hold threat? Always useful, and I'd always take you. No interest in a DPS centered GF though, waste of space in my opinion. Like an HR spec'ced for healing. Or a DC spec'ced for crowd control. You can, but unless you roll with a premade it's going to result in you being vote kicked. A whole lot.

There are three nothing abnormal possibilides:

A - he spent money on it.

b - In the previous module, it had some good friends (cw) escorting him by the castle never (origin of most gwf well equipped today).

c - all of the above.

I see ... that the topic is beginning to take the form of "trap".

I didn't try, I made it. Because in this game u don't need anything else than dps (pve-wise). But u knew it, didn't u?
