    No.

We need more lateral advancement before we even think about raising the cap. Raising the cap is a BIG deal, requiring a lot of things to be done before it can happen.

I've never seen a level cap increase in years of STO, it probably won't happen on NW as well... Cryptic doesn't expand on level cap (like several other MMOs), they rather put out increasingly challenging campaigns (there will be a new one in every Module).

To what end? So all your gear could be made obsolete? So you can change some arbitrary number on your character page to a set of higher digits?

To finish Dread ring you needed to get all 5 boons. For that you needed to fill out about 30 separate boxes. In effect leveling up. If that wasn't satisfying why would more levels be?

Except it isn't satysfying - it's a chore. You have to do the same stuf again, and again, and again.....and again. Levelling up is cool as you change areas, see knew stuff.

The campaigns, for most of them, are like taking the bus to work. Same route, same faces, every day. A chore.

In D&D, Paragon starts at about level 10 and Epic Destiny starts at level 20 so Neverwinter could introduce Epic Destiny for levels 61-90. Although, I don't see this level cap increase happening for another few years and it will be after tons of new races, classes, and paragon paths are introduced.

But that doesn't work. In 4.0 the max level is 30. Now, in Neverwinter, they made it 60. That means they gave us 30 more levels. Which makes the Heroic-Tier level 1-20, instead of 1-10 like it is in PnP (I think). So what that means, is that 21-40 is Paragon-Tier and 41-60 is Epic Destiny.

So maybe they could give us our Epic Destinies then?

raising the cap would mean that you can scrap all your gear and salvage it.
No more use for that 5kk HV set that you bought off the AH and the CN weapons for 1kk.

I fear the day they raise the cap ...

don't worry they will never raise the cap. they can't make content fast enough to do so.

In Neverwinter heroic tier is 1-30, paragon starts at 30 and epic starts at 60. That leaves room for leveling up, but will it happen?

The only way I see them successfully integrating a new level cap would be to allow you to hold a level of choice. I used to play a quite awful MMORPG called Shaiya, in which gear sets could be well over 1000 USD and you could use items to remove your experience and build insane gear at whatever PvP zone you wanted. I wouldn't care for this system, since at level 15, 30, 60, 70, and 80 you must compete with players who've spent thousands of dollars on crazy gear who destroy you in often a single hit.
