DD Leavers and those who got kicked.

I am sure we all have had this issue, or at least some I presume. Your friends and/or guildmates are in a DD and someone, or two, leave the party. So they ask you if you can bring your *insert class here* and help them finish. So you queue up with fingers crossed only to be put into a different dungeon. Ok, so you try and try and next thing you know an hour passes and everyone gives up. Here is my suggestion for a solution.

If the team kicks any player from the party then the only way to replace them is the current system, queue up and hope for the best. BUT if someone leaves on their own and I will be bold and include someone who has disconnected for my than 5 minutes, should be able to be replaced by the party. Someone in the party can invite a friend and the rest of the party votes and majority wins. Hopefully this will disable people from kicking and pulling friends in but enables people to have friends help them when they get deserted.

    Would be nice!
With the current implementation if my DC is needed in CN I have to queue alone, enter a dungeon, see that I am not in the right party and leave the party again. Pissing of 4 others, who now have created an instance without a DC.
Not to mention the broken instances I end up in.
After 30 minutes of trying to get into, e.g. instance 33 in CN, I give up.

    Balance:
    * 30 people that put me on their ignore list because I left their instance
    * 4 friends waited in vain for me and are unable to complete their CN experience (the other solo-queued DC's witch 10k GS usually don't help much in there)
    * wasted my 30 minutes and created lots of instances, where other will be trapped soon as well
    * wasted a lot of others time that queued for a party that have to re-queue.

So, I think your suggestion looks very tempting!
    Both option:
    * 5 minutes d/c and leaving party voluntarily allows invites
    * kicking does fill with the auto-queue system

As much as I'd love to invite people regardless of party composition, I fear it will only be taken advantage of. There's enough unnecessary kicking going on already. If you give those people a carte blanche to replace whoever they like with whoever they please, I fear the worst.
Did you actually read anything in this tread?

Trust me, I know some people would take advantage of kicking and filling themselves that is why I said about only being able to invite when people do in fact leave voluntarily or get d/c'ed for 5 minutes. Now the 5 minutes I am not sure is a good time. Maybe a longer time is necessary but that is something I would let those in charge decide.

If I was replying to you I would have quoted you. I was replying to the original post.
imho my suggestion is identical to what the OP asked for, just with less words. nvm.

I think this mechanic can already be used today, so I can not see the disadvantage there.

Yes magenubbie, please read my first post. I did in fact say about the same things nameexpired said. They just shortened it for me. Please read threads in full before making suggestions. Thank you

The fact a problem already exists is no reason to make it easier to exploit.
No harm done, sorry if any hostilities ...
Back to the topic, I really don't see where this "selected inviting" under the described circumstances (5min dc, voluntarily) would make it easier to exploit?

Kicking would stay as it is, and if I can convince someone to "leave party" voluntarily, or make his network dc, I think I have earned the right to invite someone.

I completely support the OP's suggestion. Current system encourages people to cause issues for lots of other people trying to get queued into the particular instance their mates want them to join.
Had four guildies at final boss during delve, and I didn't actually have time, as I just popped in, but I wanted to help. So I queued, and of course got placed in a new instance, which I did not have time to do, and had to drop it. Apologies to those people, but at least I got out before the instance loaded.
I won't be trying that again until they put a better solution in place. The negative impact is just too much.

There are way way too many issues with the current system.

There are times folks want to run with 3 or 4. Currently they spam vote kicks whenever someone joins causing much grief for all parties involved.

Likewise, you are running a dungeon and want to add your friend. There is just no reasonable way to do it without griefing a whole bunch of folks.

Also the current system reserves spots for specific classes. You should be able to override that if you chose as well as pick someone specific if you choose.

Clearly they need some checks and balances to make sure folks don't just pop people after getting to any boss and replace with their friends. I think if someone is in a dungeon for more than 15 minutes, perhaps they can no longer be kicked (unless they are disconnected).

    Yes and no.
Had someone in a dungeon as party leader, and after the 2nd boss we went kind of AWOL. We hoped that he'd disco after 15 minutes, but he must have hit the keyboard or mouse sometimes.
This was before the vote kicking.
Probably disable kicking while boss is fighting and 5 minutes after a boss died. Though someone can still grief you then by opening the chest and keeping it open (at least I think so - never had a problem with kicking/looting/chests and bosses).

hmmm... I am in favor of having the option to create a party linked to guild. something like "my guild was contracted for the service, so only my guild can access certain instance.

This would prevent some inconveniences kicks.
