Evoker's thirst (250ls) vs Illusory regeneration (250 regeneration)

Hi guys,

I am a bit confused about which of the two boons to choose. I am currently at 8% regeneration and 6,7% life steal, using a protector spec with 13.4k overall GS.

Although most recommend regeneration, I see that two of my artifacts that are still blue colour will boost my regeneration even more later (water and bloodcrystal). And life steal has the synergy with the tier 5 dread ring boon. So I am also considering selecting life steal.

What would you recommend?

    Hes a GF. If I was u, and if ure a IV, then i would go for Regen, since to really beneit from LS u have to hit fast, which can be achieved with SM Flourish (only), but being a protector, it makes Flourish really <font color="orange">HAMSTER</font>, IMO.

    I went regen for my GF. Even though my GF is full Conqueror, specced to deal as much damage as a GF can, I still do not hit fast enough to benefit from life steal. As a Protector you'd be in an even worse position than I am. Life Steal is for TRs, HRs, GWFs and CWs. GFs and DCs get minimal benefits from stacking it. Take the 250 regen and then once you've leveled your two artifacts you could end up with nearly 1000 regen.

    Regen will synergise better with a Protector because by design you are not very good at dealing damage nor are you really intended to, so life steal would be wasted on you while the tick over from regen would suit you perfectly.
    PSA: You don't need to grind Spinward Rise for your Elemental artifact main hand if you have some AD lying around. You can craft it via the Tyranny of Dragon's campaign screen.

    you are good for regen and ls where you are for your gs if you play effectively and if you want to add more put more there. They are both good for keeping life up and mitigating unblocked damage.

    and while blocking stab it will hit those in front for a decent amount and steal thier life add in fighters recovery for boosted healing capacity should you need it.

    added note: as your guard meter rises and falls it will return and diminish so block is not useless even for a dps conquerer spec just block the attacks which matter then drop guard and smack.

    I run regen on my GF since he hits like a little girl but is super tanky, and I run some regen, but picked LS for my CW to help boost it up since She knocks heads. I also took the "chance at 3x LS" final boon in Dread Ring.

    I am already at 1000+ regen, or 8,2% and my artifacts are only lvl 40 so it will increase even more. That's why I was thinking of boosting life steal a bit since it is only at 6.7% now and the two artifacts will not add any more to it.
