Vanguard Script and PVP grinding for Skull/companion

I have had alot of talks about how useless vanguard script is currently, mostly that people have hundreds or thousands of them from skermishes and such.

why not let people grind script to buy these if they dont want to pvp, that would remove us pve "scrubs" from pvp and allow us to get the rewards we are after.

    Vanguard scrip is too easy to get. Put them at the drake seal vendor for 200 drake seals like the wererat and I could be behind that. With scrip though it'd be a case of it being nearly the same as mailing it to every toon as soon as they hit level 60.

    if you charge the same number of script they do glory? or even 10% of that?

    and drake seals are easy to farm, run PK....any 1/2 decent group can steamroll PK.....we got in 8 runs with no healer the other night during DD....
    but i got no problem with that idea either, i could get both with all the seals i have saved up(every so often when i get 500-1k of them i buy a bunch of rings and salvage them....)

    wish somebody would share this idea with cryptic dev's, would be great to get another way to earn the arti and companion so i dont gotta deal with this horribly unbalanced pvp system anymore.

    i doubt this would happen. pvp changes are on the way and not just tenacity, but better matchmaking and penalties... and that's not including whatever is coming with module 3. while these changes seem to be controversial with hardcore pvpers, unfortunately for them, pvp will never be strictly for the elite. if other games "do it better" then perhaps they should be playing those other games.

    I have used vangaurd scripts only once for the recovery offhand, but i mean I'm sure people who ain't got anything use them for the zealot gear.

    again give us a way to not have to grind pvp and alot of us wont, dont do it, and we will just futz around and make the hard core pvpers angery.

    Tenacity wont make pvp in NW fun for alot of us who dont enjoy being steamrolled by premades or by people who have either nothing but time to grind OR deep pockets.

    believe it or not, premades don't dominate the pvp queue. and only PWE has the metrics and the feedback outside of the forums that indicate why they would even consider pushing the solutions they're currently looking to implement. the forums are and always will be the vocal minority.

    Outside of the PVP digression you must admit that as things stand vanguard script is worthless. What can you purchase with it? Sub-standard epic equipment that still costs 20K AD and certainly won't salvage for that much. Keys, also pretty useless as you get one gauntlet per day and one free key per day. Someone on the dev team should take a look at that.

    Edit: I almost forgot! you can spend script to buy artisan packs! for 10K AD, that also have worthless drops. Really even more worthless because at the point you have finished the whole tree you definitely have better gear than that....

    Vanguard scrips are pretty much pointless once you finish your campaign goals. There should be definitely some way to spend them for something useful. As it is now, you can't buy anything that is worth salvaging (because you spend AD as well), and don't have any long term goal for collecting them. A blue companion, like the drake seals one, for 3-400 scrips, would be definitely a good addition. Or a mount. Or anything else that would be desirable for players.

    They need to add some types of buff pots or something similar to what you can buy with the Gold Crescents and Fomorian concoctions in Sharandar and the Dread ring .
