Never used bronzewood and lightning myself but from what i see on the forums, some people don't like lightning because apparently it goes everywhere and can pull adds you don't want to pull.

If you only use encounters with a long cooldown bronzewood isn't the best choice. If you have shorter cooldowns or space our encounters so you're popping one on your target every 20s regularly it does quite well. get ACT and try it out on the preview server to see if it fits your play style.

I've been using perfect bronzewood for months and love it. I do more damage with this than a normal vorpal. I would say it's a flat 16% damage increase with 50% uptime, and it crits too. Have no threat issues either. It looks cool too and perfect is far cheaper than greater lightning/vorpal. Also with the increased AOE capping on the test server, it should do even more damage. Also more benefiticial if your crit chance is not high and your ArpPen is not 24%.

I would like to try lightning but its too expensive and I would be worried about it hitting enemies in dungeons that the group is trying to avoid, thus making you unpopular. "Who aggroed that Maw!!!!"

Bronzewood is excellent for GFs imo. Wasn't too bad when I ran one on my GWF either.

I find bronzewood really nice on my combat HR, especially in pvp where I am generally hitting a different target everytime my encounter rotation is up. The debuff 20 second cooldown is tied to the target, not you. So as long as you hit a different target, it is all good. Since a lot of HRs damage comes from combinations of hits instead of 1 big encounter, the fact that the first encounter doesn't benefit isn't that big of a deal.

Vorpal is defeinitely way better on my GWF though, by even there bronzewood makes a nice cheap filler enchant.

Daria - Dwarf Sentinel GWF (mistaken for Halfling a lot)
Karia (aka "The Pug") - Human Combat HR
Kayd - Human Conqueror GF - Retired

Agreed... Had been trying out Terror, Bronze and GPF on my GWF... Opted to stick with GPF on GWF and use Bronzewood on my GF... Really like it.
