Does 'steadfast determination' + 'destroyer purpose' stack?

hey,

new GWF here.

filling my paragon and was wondering Does 'steadfast determination' + 'destroyer purpose' stack?
if not then ill go sentinal.

    steadfast is an obsolete class feature, easily covered by just soaking up red aoes

    are you suggesting to stand in the red to proc determination?

    If by stacking you mean they can build up Determination simultaneously, probably yes.

    But as eton3000 says, Steadfast Determination is obsolete at later levels once you get the better Class Features, so it's better not to spend any points on it.

    As many have said... Steadfast Determination isn't worth bothering with, definitely move those points elsewhere when you can!

    As im getting closer to 60, i have to say im loving steadfast still. Running it with weaponmaster and it keeps my determination up, lots.
    with steadfast active, destroyer purpose benefit is diminished and i can go sentinel.

    what are your 2 'go to' passives if not for steadfast?

    PvE-Weapon master and either trample or destroyer.
    PvP-Depends on the situation, but Weapon master, Bravery, Trample and Ferocious Reaction are all nice.

    Why not? As long as you know what will and will not kill you, red circles can actually be a big help to your DPS. Just get out of the knockback/knockdown ones.

    After you get the Destroyer capstone Steadfast is not useful period in PvE. Perhaps for tank spec it could be, don't really know, but at the moment it's marginally useful for PvP and nothing else.

    In a direct answer to the OP's question, however, yes they do 'stack' so to speak. You will slowly gain determination from steadfast while Destroyers Purpose gives a ton of determination from dealing damage.

    It's just not worth giving up the far, far more useful class skills for a marginal gain in determination. More crit and more damage will net you more determination than steadfast will, while killing things dead.

    Do not want to hijack this thread but has anyone figured if more damage leads to more determination from destroyer's purpose? Compared to someone doing little damage.

    you also gain determination through killing regardless similar to a second wind ability in another game but its passive.
